The rear light of a Vauxhall Wyvern. Scanned from a print, hence the really annoying drying mark. Harrumph, must try again...
I started new commission painting project. It includes characters, and different spaceships for Rogue Trader game. Some of them I already finished. More information and more photos you can find in my blog here - theninthhost.blogspot.ru

A detail from Pavilhão da Realidade Virtual [Virtual Reality Pavilion]. Reminds me of a spaceship. I love that building, how can they think about demolishing it...
This spaceship was in the movie "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". It was the smaller ship Arthur, Ford, and Zaphod used when they left the "Heart of Gold"
I love the windshield wipers.
We rented a www.spaceships.tv/
We were disappointed that the car was a bit tatty, converted by this kiwi company newly launched in the UK, based in Kent, normally catering for brits on their way to France and beyond. The car was a Toyota Lucida people's carrier. It had several unexpected glitches, like some noise coming from the front wheel bumper, a slightly deflated tyre, front seats not rotating 360º degrees (which when you have so little space it's very useful to transform your little van in a mini camper). I thought I was gonna get something way more stable and secure than my shabby 1999 Polo but instead it was all a bit on the down side. It was a decent price at £60 per day and Staff were nice and helpful until something happened. On our way back from Scotland, 20 miles from their depot in Sheerness in Kent (one thing which was only convenient since we have our friends in Margate but that would have otherwise been a pain in the arse as it adds a good 3 hours to the trip north) some twat must have dropped a stone from one of the motorway overland bridges which dented the windscreen. Spaceship quoted me £300 to get the windscreen replaced at my expense which was very annoying as I tried hard to convince them that good customer service would suggest to give at least a discount considering all the little things that had gone wrong with the car and my general dissatisfaction with the overall vehicle performance. They were inflexible with it, so I had to find a solution myself. I found a windscreen company in Kent myself who could do the job for £180, I organized for them to go and do it the next day and I paid for it. Useless to say at Spaceship they must have felt a bit bad about it.
I feel that when you are a start up especially customer care is the most important thing you can think of, you need to leave people happy or offer them deals when things aren't going as planned. I felt let down by Spaceship on this however I would still consider their cars for the future if they give me one in good shape next time.
I think our best choice for the trip to Scotland should have been a company we discovered when we were already up north. Also because it takes a long time to get to Scotland and in between there isn't all that much to enjoy aside from veering off too much from the motorway to reach the Peak or Lake Districts.
The company we should have used for this trip is www.highlandcampervans.com/
This is personal project with group of other friend artists. It would be an short animation with marine landing on the unknown planet, Im responsible for this spacedrop ship modeling, lighning, materials and postproduction.
I read Tom Bricker's amazing Photography Buying Guide today, and he recommended again a lens that he recommended to me months ago: the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. It inspired me to shoot my camera for the first time in a long time.
Back in 2000, there was, as we all know, a big celebration at Walt Disney World. Each kid who stayed on-site, like I did on a family vacation, got a free gift. I cannot remember what my sister got, but I was excited to get a pin-lanyard with key-card holder, all contained in a miniature Spaceship Earth. I was fourteen.
Eleven years later, this is one of my most treasured possessions. It contains all the hotel-key-cards from the vacations I've been on, as well as my Disney pin collection. And since my family's house has been ravished by a fire earlier this month, and a lot of our possessions ruined and memories lost, this means the world to me. My family and cat are safe, and that, in the end, is what matters. However, the smallest things in life, things we got out without damage, now take on the biggest meanings in our hearts.
It probably did not cost a lot to make. It probably has been thrown out a million times before. But to me, this is still Disney. And so, my first pictures taken since the fire, I start with this shot. It's a bonus for all of you; I'll have more at-Disney shots again tomorrow.
Here's another modular spaceship. It was a combination of elements and colours from the grey & blue classic space series and the idea of making something as big and impressive as the 6980 Galaxy Commander.
This shot, and a couple of others, was stolen (borrowed?) from a much better film made four years earlier - actually I want confirmation of this because I can find no reference to this bit of theft / stock footage use anywhere on the Web.
This photograph is part of the "SpaceShip" set I try to create with this exploration. There really was some part of this subterranean that remind me a SpaceShip!
An other launching pad, this one more used for the political event! This one looks much more luxurious than the other!
This was taken in a Subterranean with Gavial! It was really fun! And I loved a lot of part in this area!
Hope you'll like as much as me!
Cheers!
