The Art and Science Exhibition Part III consists of a scientific educational part showing some of the most beautiful satellite images of the Earth, curated by ESA, along with some interactive terminals providing the scientific background information. Several examples of artistic works with satellite imaging and historical references to the field comprise the second part of this exhibition.
This satellite image is also part of the Spaceship Earth Exhibition (2015) at Ars Electronica Center, Linz.

Well, it's been ages since we started the preparation. We had no second chance to leave this shithole behind so we had to act as quick as possible. The space was awaiting for us.

About Perlan:
Perlan is a landmark building in Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. It is 25.7 metres (84.3 ft) high. It was originally designed by Ingimundur Sveinsson. Perlan is situated on the hill Öskjuhlíð where there had been hot water storage tanks for decades. In 1991 the tanks were updated and a hemispherical structure placed on top. Taken 30 minutes before the sun started to set. This gold reflection from the sun was hitting just a small area of Spaceship earth.
I could spend an entire day and night shooting SSE and not tire of the subject. There are so many perspectives/colors/details...it's truly iconic. I'm looking forward to get back to the world soon so I can shoot one of my favorite attractions.

I've been trying to get better at shooting slower shutter speeds while handheld with manual focus so I can keep ISO at 800 or lower and maximize the power of the Leica lenses shooting wide open. This shot was a little tricky because we were in motion but after a few days of practicing I began to feel like a sniper taking shots between heartbeats. Epcot in Disney World.
