Using my point-and-shoot's in-camera edit features all in one photo. This is the Soft Focus. I did not want my pal Carlos to be marginalized by this emphasizing feature but he's too far to the side...

It rains, so I've decided to walk around with a softfocus lens. Here's the result. The lens is way good for portraits, but it's also quite interesting at night.

Plou, o sigui que he sortit a caminar amb la lent softfocus. Aquest és el resultat. La lent és molt bona per retrats, però també és interessant per fer fotos de nit.

I'm scanning in some photos from various shoots and cameras. These were taken with a Nikon F2, 135mm lens at f2.8 to achive a narrow dof and a soft feel.
my neighbours went away to celebrate New Year's and i said i'd watch the house and take care of their kitties. they have this awesome retro silver Christmas tree so i decided to get a neat shot of it. I added a bit of soft focus for fun
Where the old trestle crossed the river. Last of the set.
Hiking in Letchworth a week ago. I was looking across the Genesee, standing where the old trestle used to pass overhead. The new arch was built next to it; the trestle was removed as soon as the new bridge was ready for the freight trains to cross. The light gray area in the lower left is the rock face with the old bridge pier at the top.
The 50mm lens on my faithful Argus C3 appears to be stuck. Aperture and shutter are fine, but the focus mechanism is jammed. Time to take it apart or, at least, remove and reinstall it. If all else fails I will replace it.
Until 1963 the path I walked was a railroad running along the east side of the Genesee River gorge. Earlier there had been a canal along the same route. In many places the remains of the old canal can be seen along side the rail bed turned path. The iron trestle visible in both of the reference photographs was replaced a few years ago by the arched span above my head.

The focus was on the tree. The bridge was intenionally left out of focus. I think this is what is meant with softfocus.
appreciation of the little things in life and in nature really counts a lot to having a fulfilling life... hilamun.
note: she is my friend's niece, Aariana Aadrin.
I am learning about soft focus, instead of using lens, I used a software, at the meanwhile I'm using Picasa it is a freeware. Easy to learn and nice to use, there are a lot of simple tutorial on how to do soft focus using photoshop ...like cs4 and so on..
