This beautiful double bloom daffodil is stunning and I always look forward to Spring when the bulbs bloom again.

“I want to go soon and live away by the pond, where I shall hear only the wind whispering among the reeds. It will be a success if I shall have left myself behind. But my friends ask what I will do when I get there. Will it not be employment enough to watch the progress of the seasons? (Journal, 1:299)”

Brief glimpse of colour sandwiched between the sea and clouds at sunrise Tuesday at Torquay. I hadn't been to the beach for a photo session recently and was a bit out of practice to be honest.

The ISO is fairly high on this one to get a reasonable shutter speed at 200mm and I forgot to focus on the surfer with the focus at the bottom third of the frame. Even so, I liked the soft effect in this and wanted to share it as something different.

Then the rain came down to soak us,

And now before the eye can focus -

I shot this scene using a soft filter. The blossoms were not fully open yet. I might go back in a few days, weather permitting.

Not sure what flower this is (or will be). I liked how the leaves looked in soft focus.

Pflanzen, speziell Blumen haben einen immer wieder neu wirkenden Zauber. Zumindest mental sensible Menschen lassen sich gerne in diesen Bann ziehen.
