I used the soft focus setting on my camera for this shot. I toyed with the idea of lightening the flower to separate it from the background a bit more, but in the end I decided it looked nicer as it is.
The only bee that I can get in Australia... Most my bee macro shots are same kind of bee~~~ just different flower...hehe... When I back Malaysia for Holiday, i wish i can get some other kind of Bee to get more variety...

Another double bloom daffodil from my garden. Spring always brings the joy of seeing these beautiful creations.
Day 36 of my photo challenge and I'm posting a flower picture I took earlier today from my new flower bouquet.
I took a few, but this is defintely one of my favourites. I love the softness of the focus, which I think mirrors the softness of the shade of purple.
I've done some research and I think this is called a China Aster.

The timing couldn't have been better for this week's Macro Monday topic: Flowers.
I've brought back Frangipanier (french name for Plumeria) seeds in 2014 from a travel on the "La Réunion" island, next to Madagascar, and got about 8 plants that are growing steadily in pots since then.
A few weeks ago, after 7 years of waiting, the biggest of those plants started shily producing what turned out to be the very first flower buds.
After a few weeks of tepid development, the sun came back through the fog and last Thursday, precisely in sync with HMM, the first two flowers opened, one after the other, in front of my mesmerized eyes...
