Good morning everyone and I hope you had a nice weekend. Just a single pic today of a American Red-breasted Robin (Turdus migratorius) I took in snow back in February. It was perched on top of a snow covered shrub in search of haws that might have fallen from a Hawthorn tree.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you have a truly great day and week.

Lots more snow with more to come... Lacie doesn't mind. :)

Teddy absolutely adores the snow, as soon as his feet touch it he starts acting silly and has zoomies :) Today we awoke to a small sprinkle, what better Birthday present for Ted? ;)

Thank you to those who have Wished him a Happy Birthday. He had a blast and is currently flat out asleep.

this is flickr sharpening at its finest.

Good morning everyone. On this first day of April I thought I would post a pic taken on the first day of March. Photo subject is a Slate-colored Junco (Junco hyemalis hyemalis), which in many ways is the proverbial "snowbird". Now that it is April it won't be long before these birds head north to their summer breeding ground. Like clock work every year, they arrive in October and depart in April. One day soon the 25 or so Juncos that spend winter with us will be suddenly gone. Then and only then will it be "officially" Spring.

Thank you for stopping by...and I hope you're having a truly nice week.

Closed work for freezing rain so I made good use of the day lol

Winter Wonderland

The winter storm brought about 12" of snow to southeast Wisconsin yesterday and last night. The kids got a snow day so the wife and I decided take off work too. I love fresh snow and sunshine.

Vancouver under 30cm of snow.

I thought I had fixed this but obviously I guessed wrong about where the light was leaking in.

Retro throwback of old photographs taken at a wonderful snowy sim (will post SlURL if I find it/it's still around)
