Stagecoach Midlands' LX51 FMP (17494) is seen parked next to the Stratford Information Centre in the Tourbus turn around point. It wears branding for the Stratford-upon-Avon sightseeing tour. In the sun, it looks very smart. LX51FMP was new in September 2001 to Stagecoach East London, as their TAS494. When the operation was sold in August 2006, it came under Macquarie Bank ownership. In October 2010, it was reacquired by Stagecoach. TAS 494 has been used for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, where it was used as a Shuttle Bus. It was also used on a branded rail replacement service for Stagecoach Merseyside on Merseyrail services. It was then converted to open top for use as a tour bus at the Stratford-upon-Avon garage.

Johnsons Coaches' YT13 HKZ is seen turning around in the Alexandra Hospital while operating a 350 towards Worcester Crowngate Bus Station. Until January 2018, the 350 was running as the 150 (extending from Birmingham City Centre). However, when the contract renewed, the services were split with one run in the morning which starts at the Maypole Shops and continues through to Worcester. This operates as a 150 and operates via County Hall. YT13HKZ was new in April 2013, as one of two OmniLinks to Johnsons of Henley-in-Arden. It carries the smart Johnsons Excelbus livery. Six months after the pair were bought, a further two new examples were acquired. The smart independent operator has also acquired a second hand example. HKZ attended Showbus in 2013, which was held near Stratford-upon-Avon, which isn't too far away from the Johnsons depot. It is a Scania CK230UB/Scania OmniLink.

We spotted this beautiful old Popular when we were walking to the Hovercraft Museum, at Lee-on-the-Solent. What a bit of luck!

Johnsons' YN63 BYO is seen arriving at the Alexandra Hospital with a 350 towards Redditch. The 350 operates every 2 hours between Redditch and Worcester Crowngate Bus Station. Until January 2018, the 350 was running as the 150 (extending from Birmingham City Centre). However, when the contract renewed, the services were split with one run in the morning which starts at the Maypole Shops and continues through to Worcester. This operates as a 150 and operates via County Hall. YN63BYO was new in October 2013, as one of two CK230UB's for use at Johnsons Coaches of Henley-in-Arden for use on their Excelbus network. They followed on an order of two YT13 plate Omins for the company. The smart independent operator has also acquired a second hand example; this being SN58 FWL. BYO proudly shows off the very smart Excelbus livery, which I feel really suites the Omni's. It is a Scania CK230UB/Scania OmniLink.

Well I'll bet that is what the folks at the grocery store think...when they see Daisy sashay through their door nearly every day at three thirty or so. 😉

Seen returning from the 2019 Buses Festival is one of Green Bus' Presidents. It is currently their only green President with a Volvo chassis, all of their others in green are Tridents.

TheGreenBus' V95 MOA (395) is seen turning off New Road onto Church Street, Studley, having dropped off two passengers on the return leg of the journey from Gaydon. Green Bus charged £5 for a return ticket for passengers (which didn't include admission), but considering the distance covered, and the price of alternative transport, this was very good! V95MOA was new in December 1999 to Travel West Midlands, as their 4095. It was initially allocated to Yardley Wood and has also spent time at West Bromwich and Birmingham Central. National Express West Midlands (NXWM) withdrew it in late 2016, which 2017 seeing it be purchased by The Green Bus. It is a Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President.

The smart marque began as a collaboration between Volkswagen and the Swiss watch brand Swatch. After VW pulled out from the project, Daimler-Benz stepped in to provide the vehicle architecture.

The first smart brand car was launched in 1998. The car was a short two-seat city car. The car was known as the Smart City Coupe and Smart City Cabriolet.

A second line was added in 2003 the Smart Roadster (R452) shown, and the Smart Roadster Coupe (C452). The two shared the basic architecture and design, differing primarily in the Roadster having a flat luggage/engine lid behind the rollbar, while the Roadster Coupe had a glass hatch section in the place. Both cars had a removable 'targa' panel over the two occupants, spanning the windscreen and the rollbar.

The Roadster and Roadster Coupe also shared many mechanical systems with the Smart city car (to be renamed Smart Four-Two in 2004), including the engine/transmission systems and suspension. The Smart Roadster and Roadster Coupe had a much lower set 'Tridion' safety cell.

For such an appealing compact sportscar, the Smart Roadster had a short lifespan, being removed from market at the end of 2005.
