A sea of SLR bodies. Average cost for this lot was about a dollar a body.They were awfully fun to unpack and inspect.
Another test of a Polaroid SX-70 Sonar One Step camera with impossible PX-70 Color Shade. Yes I know it looks like Silver Shade but just like Henry Ford camera manufacturers really never made bodies in anything but chrome and black.

....in November's Digital SLR Photography magazine! It was spotted via their Flickr group and I was asked if they could feature it in this month's Readers' Pics as my photo had been inspired by one of their recent articles. It landed on my doormat this morning.
C'mon, its artistic. Given a SLR camera and told to take some pictures as part of my Youth Training Scheme when I was 17.
The SX-70 was a great camera in its day. It was an SLR Polaroid that allows focusing to about 7 inches. It was made of brushed aircraft aluminum with leather panels. In the pre-digital era many pros carried one to test a shot.
Old Konica SLR film cameras picked up recently for very little money and came with the excellent Hexanon lenses. Underated and unloved by the collectors, these are truly bargains in todays' digital age.

* Ricoh 126C-FLEX w/ Rikenon 55mm f2.8
* One of the only four 126 format SLR models ever made (the others: Kodak Instamatic Reflex, Rollei SL26, Zeiss Ikon Contaflex 126)
* Aperture diaphragm buit into the body, lens only has glass elements.
* Compatible with flash cubes (powered by a 15V battery in the body)
