This is my new baby. Canon xti slr. Been saving up for her and researching her for sometime now. Well, I got if from J&R music world in downtown manhattan for $684.00. When I got it home , I was all gitty ONLY to learn that to take pics I would have to LOOK thru the viewfinder not the LCD window. After you take the pic, the pic shows up on the LCD screen. So why pray tell did they make the LCD screen so dog-gone big? Then on top of that, they said in the reviews that its light, well, its not all that light to me. Then to add insult to injury, everytime i try to take a pic the flash keeps coming on. I know, I know, jus disable the flash: When i did that, the pic comes out blurry. The flash, according to the manual prevents camera shake. So how in the world am i gonna take candid shots or street photography with the flash keep coming on? I have half a mind to take this camera back and get my money back. Anyone have any suggestions?
My concentration is called "Human Touch". Human touch is one of those oddities that can send a message or provoke empathy without a single word being said. How strange is it that this form of communication can often provoke the strongest reaction? I think there are some things that words can't describe and that's why you hug your mom when you're in need of comfort or you squeeze someone's hand when you're excited. I'm really enthusiastic about pursuing this concentration and can't wait to see the progress I achieve and if my idea changes over the course of it.
My neighbors, Jim and Rose, have been married for over 60 years. For as long as I can remember, I would see them walk by my house, twice a day, rain or shine. Each time, I we would say hello to one another with a polite smile. I think I took this warm exchange for granted now that I'm thinking about it. Well, over the summer, the doctors told Rose she had a few months to live because her lungs were in bad shape. My mom, always friendlier with them than I was, has regularly visited and helped out. She would tell me of Rose's stories and how she could talk for days and how Jim was always by her side. When I decided on my concentration, they were the first thing that popped into my mind. So I went over with my mom and Jim was kind and quiet while, although sweet, Rose was delirious from her lack of oxygen. Both were very nice and let me photograph them holding hands. I can only hope the final piece shows their struggle and triumph together in love.
