Sometimes you just want to take pictures of some very cute, nice looking Hoots, right...?
On a more serious note; this picture was taken a few days ago in the afternoon. Just recently, two long-eared owls have taken up residence at our local church. Wasting no time, I jumped over to the spot to take multiple pictures. This one is certainly the best of all the others I took. Not everyday you get to experience such scenario in the wild, let alone up close and personal!
I've already gone down this hill by the right side track (in the photo) on my MTB.
It is impossible to pedal upwards. Looks like a wall. It’s one step forward and two steps back :)
It takes about 10 or 15 minutes to go up the hill by the left side (in the photo) for a 10 seconds downhill ride. The descent should be about 30 meters with a height difference of about 20 meters. It's a little scary, I confess.

Today's photo tour sends us to Epcot for one of my favorite shots to take during the Flower and Garden Festival. Besides the beautiful flowers that are in this scene, I really love the reflection you get off the water. If you time the monorail right, you can get its full reflection in the water below. How many times have you taken this shot? Have a magical day!
I spotted the chair and the curve on pavement. When I took my first composition, I did not see the coffee cup yet.
When I took my second composition, the coffee cup suddenly appeared. I think it is a God's send because it really added a good touch-up for the scene. :o)

Children enjoy sending mail as much as they enjoy receiving it, and having a physical address to mail their letter for Santa will further guarantee in their continued belief in Santa Claus. So make sure that you take the time with your children, go over their Christmas wish list to ensure that their grammar is correct (and so you know what they are wishing for) and have your child send their letter to Santa by themselves. Die knapp 10 km lange Vizinalbahn von Senden nach Weißenhorn weißt eine relativ hohe Fahrzeugvielfalt auf. Bunt gemischt verkehren hier im Stundentakt 612er, 642er (1x/2x/3x) und 644er vom Bw Kempten. Am 27.4.2018 war 612 090 "Lindau" auf dem Weg nach Ulm Hbf und legt in Wullenstetten gerade einen Bedarfshalt ein.
“El premio”
Y subir, y subir, y seguir subiendo…. Todo lo que alcanzaban a ver mis ojos entre los arboles era que aquella senda en forma de zigzag no dejaba de ascender, ¿hasta dónde? no tenía ni la más remota idea ya que era mi primera vez en la Senda de los cazadores, y aunque había leído lo suficiente como para saber que había que superar un desnivel de más de 600 metros en apenas dos kilómetros, no tenía cogidas las distancias ni mucho menos el tiempo que duraría la ascensión. Durante la misma debieron adelantarme como una docena de personas tranquilamente o incluso alguna más; es este un hecho que personalmente no me produce ningún tipo de desasosiego y es que yo tengo mi propia manera de disfrutar la montaña y en general la naturaleza por lo que yo soy quien me marco a mi mismo el ritmo al que quiero caminar.
Digo esto porque mucha gente camina en la montaña, contra el cronómetro, o eso parece en ocasiones por el ritmo que se marcan; lo mío es más de ritmo “tortuga”, tengo que pararme, recrearme, deleitar mi vista y como no, mi oído, con todo lo que me rodea. Y por si eso no fuera suficiente, tengo que plasmar todo eso con mis cámaras; ahí es cuando alguna posible compañía te dice aquello de “ahí te quedas, yo me voy…”, y lo comprendo, sí no te gusta la fotografía acompañarme es un coñazo. Es por eso que en mi salidas montañeras o bien voy acompañado de mi abnegada mujercita (que muchas veces también prosigue la ruta y me deja atrás… jajajaja) o me voy yo solo que es también una maravillosa opción de disfrutar la naturaleza, uno solo en el entorno.
Dicho esto, aquella famosa senda de los cazadores me estaba haciendo sudar de lo lindo a pesar del día nublado y en ocasiones con ligera llovizna; y venga a subir pero yo tenía claro que el día era para hacer aquella ruta que me había marcado, acabara a la hora que acabara, así que dar marcha atrás ni hablar.
Y por fin llegué al final de aquella trepidante ascensión bajo una fina lluvia y a tiempo de poner a resguardo el material fotográfico en el pequeño refugio que hay colindante al mirador de Calcilarruego. Y allí mismo, ante mis ojos estaba el mejor premio posible a la exigente ascensión de los Cazadores…
¡¡Cuanta belleza ante mis ojos!!
Como decía, estaba lloviendo un poquito pero tenía aspecto de que en cualquier momento podría parar así que el trípode y las cámaras seguirían en el refugio. Mientras, tuve la oportunidad de hablar primero con una pareja de canadienses a los que les hice con su cámara algunas fotos de recuerdo mientras admiraban tan solemne espectáculo. Luego aparecieron un pequeño grupo de unas ocho personas entre ellos una pareja con la que si intercambié algunos momentos mientras nos resguardábamos conjuntamente del agua y ellos se preparaban para continuar la marcha.
Al cabo de diez minutos me quedé solo y coincidió también con la parada de la lluvia por lo que me dispuse a extasiarme con la cámara en aquel mirador. Mientras acomodaba el trípode para poder hacer algunas fotos panorámicas como la que aquí os dejo, hubo otro pequeño milagro, esta vez relacionado con mi afición ornitológica. Tres trepadores Azules sin la más mínima vergüenza y por supuesto miedo, se pusieron a moverse alrededor de mis pies e incluso uno de ellos se subió a mi bota; todo ello mientras en el suelo buscaban algún resto excursionista en forma de fruta, pan, etc.
Lo que comentaba antes, paré en mi actividad de preparar la cámara, solo para ver a los tres pajarillos como se movían con su peculiar agilidad.
Entonces llegó el momento, pegar el ojo frente al visor de la cámara y robar un instante de tan emotivo encuentro, la grandiosidad de Ordesa, la piedra, las nubes, la vegetación tan espectacular, el silencio y yo.
Daba lo mismo como fuera el resto del día, ya tenía mi momento de Gloria.
As I backed away, he seemed to relax a little. His ears came forward and his eyes were less narrowed and his back not as arched. He is still marking his territory while looking me dead in the eyes. A clear message. Right after this shot he seemed to decide I was not a threat. He leisurely strolled away from the tree.
