On Friday 2/12/2016, 4578s is seen approaching Huddleston road ( between Huddleston & Gladstone SA) with B61-S317-GM27-GM10-S302 (last loco dead attached) in charge. This was the second of the two movements with SSR hauling 90 ex Leigh Creek coal wagons to NSW.

Replacing the Ponton with a design focused on passenger comfort and safety. Wider and squared off, with a large glass greenhouse improving driver visibility. A milestone in car design were front and rear crumple zones for absorbing kinetic energy on impact. All initial models shared the straight-6 engine carried over from the previous generation and capable of accelerating the heavy car to 160 km/h. The W111 spawned a pair of bracketing variants in 1961 : downscale entry-level 4 in-line engined vehicles sharing the W111 chassis and bodies, designated the W110.

This gorgeous Mercedes S-Class (S550) was parked in a lot by itself, as if other motorists felt unworthy to park next to it or even near it.
Depsite recent lapses in quality, Mercedes-Benz remains one of the most prestigious import brands in the United States.
W111
Since most of the chassis and drivetrain were to be unified with the W111 saloon, the focus was on the interior and exterior styling. Mercedes chose the work of designer Paul Bracq, which featured a more square, subtle rear-end treatment evocative of the clean modern styling of his mid-1960s, where the rest of the model line adopted the pointed-fin "Heckflosse" styling. Interiors were unique, and lavish compared to the W111 sedans. Production began in late 1961. Unlike the previous generation of 2-door ponton series, the 220 SE designation was used for both the coupé and convertible. Options included a sliding sunroof for the coupé, automatic transmission, power steering and individual rear seats.
