Search and Rescue (a.k.a. SAR) is a term standardized by the United Nations. It is an "effective worldwide system, so that wherever people sail or fly, an SAR service will be available for when needed". The system is described in the SAR manual issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and international aviation organization ICAO. Member states are obliged to organize SAR services according to these standards.
The Dutch SAR service is coordinated by the Dutch Coast Guard. Over the past 30 years, the 303 Search and Rescue Squadron of the Defence Helicopter Command from the Royal Netherlands Air Force, has carried out many successful SAR operations with helicopters. They used the Agusta Bell 412-Special Performance (Agusta AB412) for this task. The squadron had 3 helicopters, which were stationed at Leeuwarden Air Base and at Vlieland Heliport. On January 1, 2015, the helicopters were withdrawn and the 303sqn ceased it’s operations.
Because the deployment of the NH90 was delayed by the Ministry of Defense, a commercial tender was started in order to ensure adequate emergency aid in the coming years with the aid of SAR helicopters. NHV (Noordzee Helikopters Vlaanderen) has won this contract. The operate from Den Helder Airport (De Kooy) with two Airbus Helicopters AS365N3 Dauphins. An extra AS365N3 station at the Pistoolhaven in Rotterdam provided the opportunity that in emergencies at least three helicopters can be operational simultaneously. During daylight hours this helicopter is used for pilotage.
The AS365N3 is a medium-weigth multipurpose twin-engine helicopter. The N3 variant was developed for operations in 'hot and high' climates, and introduced 635 kW (851 shp) Arriel 2C turboshafts equipped with a single channel DECU (Digital Engine Control Unit) with manual reversion, mated to an uprated main transmission for better single engine performance. The N3 also features a redesigned ten blade composite Fenestron anti-torque device with asymmetric blade distribution, offering a further reduction in noise signature. The N3's gross weight is 4,300 kg (9,500 lb). Production deliveries began in December 1998 and this version is currently still in production.
This N3 was build in 1997. The flight deck partly reflects this. It has no glass cockpit as nowadays is very common. Some modification and upgrades have been made, but in principle it is still an analogue cockpit. With the good old Altimeters, Speed Indicators, Attitude Indicators, VORs, NDBs and many engine indicators.
Technical stuff
This HDR is consists of 3 individual images. Taken at -2 2/3, -2/3 and +1 1/3. This was due to the high contrasting light conditions. The merge was done with Aurora HDR 2018. Further post-production was done with PS CC. Finally I added the copyright watermarks. The latter is, alas, there to stay due to the frequent copying of my photos. So, don't bother commenting on that.
One of Cuxhaven's oldest ships was the rescue cruiser "HERMANN HELMS". For 32 years, it ensured safety in the busy Elbe estuary from Cux. Since her commissioning in 1985, the HERMANN HELMS has completed more than 2,500 missions and several thousand inspection trips. In terms of nautical miles sailed, she has circumnavigated the globe twice. In 2017 she was replaced by the new 28 m long "ANNELIESE KRAMER". Today, the Hermann Helms provides safety in the mouth of the Rio de la Plata as "ROU 52 Isla de Lobos".
It's some variant of AS Val. It can also fire flechettes and shit. To turn it to a long-range rifle, all you need is a 20-rounder and a PSO-1. Enjoy.

S. XII. Románica.
Construida en el siglo XII a las orillas del río Sar es, junto con la Catedral, la iglesia que conserva mayor parte de su primitiva fábrica románica.
En el exterior llaman la atención los robustos arbotantes construidos entre los siglos XVII y XVIII para proteger los muros septentrionales y evitar su derrumbe: bien fuese por un error técnico en la construcción, por la atrevida elevación de las naves laterales, por el corrimiento del inestable terreno sobre el que se asienta, que a menudo es inundado por el río, o por voluntad de quienes trabajaron en su construcción, los muros y las columnas interiores están visiblemente inclinados, lo que le confiere un singular atractivo y obligó a rehacer la bóveda de cañón en el siglo XVI.
El interior, de hermosas proporciones, impresiona a todo aquel que lo visita por la inclinación de las columnas hacia las naves laterales, dando sensación de inestabilidad. La pila bautismal, a la derecha de la puerta principal, es una interesante pieza arqueológica del siglo XII.
A través de la sacristía puede accederse al claustro, el único que posee la ciudad en estilo románico. Sólo se conserva una de las alas, el resto pertenece a los siglos XVII y XVIII. Dentro se expone una buena colección de piezas arqueológicas y litúrgicas.

Su tutucu bir mum tabakasıyla kaplanmış yapraklara ve gövdeye sahipmiş. herhalde deniz suyunun tuzlu etkisinden korunmak için olsa gerek. Kumda bile yetişebilen bu çiçeği Musakça mendireğinde gördüm ve çektim. Tohumlar da dahil olmak üzere bitkinin tüm parçaları zehirlidir uyarısı var bilgiler arasında.

I'm currently attempting to make a Kenworth SAR, just positioning bricks until I find a nice shape and then I'll figure out how it connects together and make it strong. On this one I wanted to try something a little different with the fenders, usually I make it out of various bricks joined together and they're kind of blocky so I was going through the LDD palette and found a couple of parts that are an interesting shape and maybe have potential. They're both window inserts for planes and are only available in translucent colours, but hey I thought they look interesting even if it isn't possible in real bricks.
My question is which do you think looks better. The one on the left is a larger piece and cuts into the bumper space which I'm not sure about, the one on the right fits better but will be quite difficult to try and connect.
