R-97 is a curvy, hilly route passing through wooded areas that often form a scenic canopy over the road, as well as some outstanding agricultural vistas.

We found this rustic wagon planter at a vegetable stand in Blount County. I tried to add this, and other pictures, to the map, but it didn't work. Once the red and blue balls start doing their do-see-do, they never stop. Maybe it's just a glitch in Flickr's new software. Maybe they can fix it.

The Saxon chapel of St Laurence in Bradford-on-Avon. I particularly liked the very rough patterns on the walls, the masons had just made random chisel marks on the stone. I tried to get a close up but it was too dark.

On this evening there was another Rustic Sphinx Moth feeding on nectar. On this occasion it was feeding on honeysuckle. Later it went to this lantana and enjoyed its nectar as well.
