Happy Bench Monday! I found this cool bench on the front porch of a local lumber mill when I inquired about firewood.

We are in the last few days of getting our house ready to be listed for sale and there is so much to do! Please forgive me - I will catch up late this weekend!
Attention to details is an art.
Living in a place full of art can be inspiring if you are not overtaken from it.

Rustic bridge (made from a single trunk) leading into the woods on the National Trust's Longshaw Estate in the Derbyshire Peak District.
I think a man's duty is to find out where the truth is, or if he cannot, at least to take the best possible human doctrine and the hardest to disprove, and to ride on this like a raft over the waters of life. Plato

i did enjoy my long walk on my lonesome own, i enjoy my walks when i have my eyes open, rather than looking down and in a hurry to get from a to b... and heaps of times - rushing off to c, d and e :)
Come and sit for awhile, outside in nature

Previously I've done a lot of real estate & architectural photography for estate agents and realtors. Now I'm mixing that up with this rustic island vibe.
Reflections of a corral and looking through to another window on the other side of this building..

I really don't remember why I took a selfie for goodness sake. I'm so old and wrinkled ... but I think it was after my Rustic and Grungy comment one day. Anyway, I liked it. Hair not combed, face not washed and moisturized, the face mask around my neck, and most of all my Cross around my neck. Tried to use a softening edit to "soften" all the wrinkles, but it didn't help. Anyway, I was thinking ... is this only one object?
Remnant from the past embedded in the brick wall outside Brisbane Powerhouse.
The Brisbane Powerhouse building was once a working power station which electrified the city from the 1920s to the 1970s. Left abandoned, the city’s artists, rebels and fringe-dwellers used the building as a performance space, home and underground hang-out.
The redeveloped Brisbane Powerhouse was designed by Brisbane City Council architect Peter Roy and was opened in 2000. Seven years later the building underwent a further stage of development to increase audience capacities, restaurant and bar facilities as well as functions and conference spaces. Brisbane Powerhouse was re-opened in 2007.

My new way of doing biscotti since seeing a little old Nona on Youtube several years ago.
Let it remain a bit sticky in the mixing bowl... set it out in big spoonfuls and join it all in a log shape.... leave it rough.
Looks so nice when baked and cut.
This is cranberry and almond.
When traveling, I like to have a local experience wherever I land, so I avoid chains and franchises as much as possible, such as staying at this family owned motel. The beautiful birch tree was a lovely bonus. HTmT

From the moment I first saw Rustic Falls near Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, I knew it was something special. And being a nightscape photographer, I knew I wanted to capture it under Milky Way skies...

A rustic autumn scene with pumpkins, lanterns, and pine cones on the ground, set in an outdoor park under soft evening light. The background features trees adorned with orange leaves and lights hanging from them. A path leads into the depth of field, adding to the festive atmosphere. High-resolution photography

New! October Visions ~ Challenge # 251.0
I took this in the evening light as the sun was starting to go down. I didn't really like the colour version, so I tried it in black and white, unfortunately as the machine is close to the cypresses there was very little definition , so I settled for this kind of in- between tone.
Whether it's an attractive picture , is of course another story.
