This time of year is difficult for me. It's dark when I go to work and gets dark pretty soon after I get home so there's not much time for photography. So I went back through some old photos from our trip last year to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I don't remember the name of this old church but it was very charming. I cannot get enough of these old split rail fences that dot the already breathtaking landscape everywhere you look in this part of the country.
This is part of a photo shoot I did for an artist friend in her studio. Oh, to have a studio like this! Lots of windows and natural light. Anyway, this old enamelware bowl full of chinese lanterns was just begging for a shot. I had to oblige.
Emberiza rustica
This was only the 6th time that I have ever been fortunate enough to see one of these fabulous Buntings in the U.K.
Luckily for me, this one chose an inland site to spend the winter months (the first time that one has wintered), where it joined 2 Little Buntings and nearly one hundred Reed Buntings.
As it was close to my house, I payed several visits to attempt to take an array of different shots....

I discovered this old Singer sewing machine in a restaurant called "Im Eimer" which translated into English means "in tatters" or having "had it".
I can recommend the place. Food is good and it's a gold mine for photographers. š

One of my favorite native plants nurseries feature facades of houses, complete with windows. It is easy to get lost down the pathways. That's possibly one of the reasons I enjoy it.
