This Round-tailed Manakin was quite a nice surprise along the trails of the Los Amigos Biological Station. It didn’t pose for long and we didn’t get to see it’s courtship display but simply seeing it was a thrill.

Over the Christmas/New Year break...I watched a group of Tibetan monks create a sand mandala using coloured sand...they worked on it for 8 days and then had a ceremony where they destroyed it........!...I was inspired by their patience and dedication.......no photo's used in this image........!

A BLE tunnel motor along with an SD40u and a DMIR tunnel motor ease down Proctor hill with pellets for Dock 6. Not much in the way of fall color yet.
visiting standard 2-6-0 78019 runs round it's train in llangollen station at the original steam steel and stars event--another loco that was based at northwich for a short while that has survived into preservation
