The Southern reach of Ullswater comes into view as the path around Gowbarrow passes Green Hill and begins the descent to Aira Force. Place Fell across the lake and a steamer passing by below heading for Howtown.

Just digging a little in the archives...I stretched the exposure on this one as long as I could. With a polarizer, f/22, and ISO 50 I managed to get it up to around 25 seconds so that I could show the great circular swirls for the leaves/bubbles in this drop pool. A ND filter is on the must buy list!

~ I attended the Great Falls Hot Air Balloon Festival both yesterday and today. The crowds have become fairly huge. Yesterday evening it stormed so they didn't fly. Now, on Saturday morning, a wonderful display of HAB's. I got about 200 pics which will serve me well until next years festival.
