You can see the sharp edges, but there are all tiny cracks down too. Aside from the two sharp pieces poking up, the whole edge is very, very sharp - needs to be sanded.
Cut using a bucket of water (sink or bathtub would work too), nail polish remover (the acetone type), string or yarn, and a lighter or matches.
There are videos on YouTube.com - but for a quick run through, here's how we did this:
1) gather your supplies.
2) wrap string around bottle 5-6 times and tie in a knot.
3) slip off and soak in acetone.
4) slide the string back onto the bottle about where you'd like it to break.
5) holding vertical over your water source, light the string.
-- be careful, if you have acetone on the bottle (drips) or on your hands, they'll flash with flame too.
6) continually turn bottle to keep flame even all around.
7) when flame starts to die out, submerge in water.
If everything goes correctly, it will crack apart.
I did this 3 times before we finally got it to work - the first 2 times I don't think we had enough string wrapped around the bottle.

On our walk back from exploring around Organic village, we were drenched in sweat and needed something refreshing :) We stopped at a little place and I tried their rootbeer. Very good!
Our third stop on Day 9 of my Colorado vacation was Lookout Mountain Park which is where Buffalo Bill' Cody's grave is located, as well as the Buffalo Bill Museum. We couldn't resist Rootbeer floats at the gift shop. In Golden, CO.
Digging into the archives, again. This iris was photographed in my neighbor's garden. (Zuiko 50mm macro, f/3.2, 1/125 sec., 100 ISO, handheld)
This 50's drive in was great. I did it in a post card style to really accent the postcard effect that was so popular then. I still haven't figured out why the rootbeer mug is upside down. Best seen large.

At this 50's inspired themed Bat-Mitzvah, Jukebox centerpieces sat atop the tables, with clusters of balloons and a mylar musical note helium filled balloon, floated above the centerpiece. This RI Bat-Mitzvah, by Gold Events was held at Temple Emanu-el in Providence, RI, just south of the Boston, MA area.
Along with the centerpieces each Kosher food station, was beautifully catered to the theme of the 50's. With signs for each food station of Pizza, burgers, fries, and hot dogs, the guests enjoyed this 50's inspired theme.
Tables were adorned with neon colored linens and napkins, with the kids table having an arch of clear Linc-O-Loon balloons, going from a giant hairspray bottle to a blue haired centerpiece.
Guests were also treated to a soda fountain, complete with milk shakes, , rootbeer floats, and cabinets ( a real RI treat!)
The bar area had a sign made with rope lighting. The sign-in board, was made with real record albums, and the guests signed with silver sharpies.
guests were asked to dress for the theme, and everyone rocked out to 5o's tunes. Even the photographer wore jeans, a leather jacket and slicked back hair! it was great!

A frosted mug of birch beer; hot dog with mustard, onions, and relish; and an order of french fries, at the picnic tables at Hot Dog Johnny's.
Last weekend I returned to my ancestral homeland in rural northwest New Jersey. During my visit I made a pilgrimage to Hot Dog Johnny's, a classic roadside hot dog stand along Route 46 in Buttzville, New Jersey. (No joke.)
Route 46 was a major east-west throughfare before Interstate 80 was built, and Hot Dog Johnny's, which opened in 1944, is a thriving reminder of what roadside architecture and cuisine were like back in the day.
