Attempting to pay homage to Brett Northcutt's beautiful concept image of Vader meeting Krennic. My version is nowhere near as epic but fun as hell to set up and play with the lighting.

I'll post a photo of the setup later today. I used baking paper behind Vader to diffuse the lights.

This is a higher angle pic to capture Vader's reflection. The previous photo is lower down and suits the source image a bit better but loses most of the cool reflection onto the tiles.

I don’t have a drone. There has been a few occasions over the years when I have had an idea and I’ve had some help with friends with drones however. Not knowing what to do, how it all works, not really known how to ask the right questions those photographs have all ended in ”projects”.

I still don’t know how this works and I doubt I ever will if I don’t buy a drone of my own. I’m not talking about how to fly it but rather what does everything look like from up there. It takes some time to learn how to read that.

While thinking whether to buy a drone of my own I asked my friend with his to help me with a thing I wanted to try. The thing turned out as planned alright but this photograph is not it. This was a last minute ”hey, let’s take a look over there too while we're here” -thing on a parking lot after we were finished and getting ready to leave. What a delightful and unexpected look. I just love those colours and textures on the ground. It only needed a little something to make it really pop. You know?

SPOILERS ALERT!

This is the ending scene of the best and darkest Star Wars film ever - "Rogue One". I think it was also one of the best scenes in the franchise, an epic and heroic death of Jyn Erso (see my previous tribute to her here) and Cassian Andor, who gave their lives to let the Rebellion get the plans of the weapon which can destroy planets - the Death Star. Luke Skywalker was able to destroy it only because of them... Without them, there would be no Episodes IV, V and VI.

"Rogue One, may the Force be with you."

You can watch the entire scene here:

Michael Giacchino - Your Father Would Be Proud (OST "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story") - the wonderful and heartbreaking music from the scene

Rogue One: Your Father Would Be Proud - CINEMATIC EMOTIONAL MIX - an even more beautiful cover by Samuel Kim

Let's hope this scene is not going to become relatable for anyone anywhere! Now I'm almost 100% convinced it can and will happen. :(

Tried recreating the teaser photo for Rogue One. . . Haven't really done this before, nor do I have much experience with photo editing.

Been working on multiple builds lately. Hoping to wrap up some of them soon!

Let me know what you think!

Through the creations that I build, I hope to inspire other young (or perhaps older) LEGO builders to unleash their inner creativity. We all need a positive way to express ourselves, so let's let LEGO be an extension of us. Your creativity belongs to you, and nobody can take that away. Build what you want to build, and how you want to build it.

With the foils open it was way too big to fit in my photo setup, to avoid too much editing it's the only pictures I took of it in this configuration.

The foils are really sturdy, and the turntable sytem is strong enough to support the foils in any position without the need of support.

"Rogue One, pulling away." - Bodhi Rook

Frustrated at their inaction, Jyn, Cassian, K-2SO, and a number of Rebels volunteer to take matters into their own hands. The party takes the shuttle to raid the databank themselves. Before they take off, however, they are confronted by Rebel command, who asks them to identify themselves. Rook improvises a callsign of "Rogue One" before heading off to Scarif without Alliance permission. (From Wookieepedia.)

I love the breathtaking vistas in Rogue One! This is one of my favorites: A menacing Imperial Star Destroyer hovering over Jedha City.

The model is 40 Studs long and contains approx. 1200 parts. Originally it was planned as a companion build for my Imperial Shuttle MOC, but here finally a detailed view of it (as requested ;).

"The Umber" is my steampunk version of Rogue One's UT-60D troop transport (also referred to as a "U-Wing"). It's as functional as the official LEGO set, and even a bit bigger.

Entry for the third round at the MOC Olympics at my German home LUG Imperium der Steine. The last eight had to build a scene from the coming Star Wars movie Rogue One. Unfortunately I had only four days to think, build and take fotos because of my holidays. Hope you like it anyway.

It is possible to place six deathtroopers, one pilot and director Krennic in it.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

"Opens on a shot of a planet which pans up to a view of planetary rings with a small ship flying through them. Switches to a shot of the planet Lah’mu and the ship flying through the rings. A shot of the planet closer up with the ship flying towards the surface. The ship flies down across a farm and passes by a white worker droid, who watches the ship. Cuts to a young Jyn Erso running across the rocky plain with the ship following behind her...."

I’ve managed to collect all of the Ghost crew but have been struggling to display them. In the end the amazing 75312 Slave 1 inspired me to try midi-scale and I managed to put this together! She’s 27cm long, 21cm wide, weighs in at 695g and the parts cost is around £85. She’ll holds all six crew (although they’re all sitting and lying down) and I managed to get a sturdy little stand right under the centre of gravity. I’ve also made tiny Phantoms 1 & 2 that can hold Chopper.

My tribute to Star Wars: Rogue One's badass new female protagonist, Jyn Erso

What an Easter surprise this was! I did not expect to get an order for another few weeks but it came super early for some reason. The final build is absolutely massive and it could not have turned out better... well maybe it could be better (it always can be) but I still think its really good. This build is also to perfect minifig scale so it scales with the rest of my minifig scale builds.

Built for the Rogue One group vignettes at Legoland Star Wars Days 2017! So many other fun additions by other builders!

Another variation of my red 1 x-wing MOC, Blue Leader x-wing from the Blue Squadron from my beloved Rogue One movie.

The Death Star Overbridge can be seen on-screen both in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) as well as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). It serves as the main Control Room for the Superlaser inside the first Death Star.

The MOC features two command center duty posts, the angled hexagon-shaped window/screen which acts as the center of the bridge, Imperial Light-panels on the walls, the bridge entrance, accurate wall patterns and detailing throughout the overbridge.

The built-in hinge-mechanism allows you to get better access to the Overbridge.

The MOC contains a total of 2415 pieces.

Furthermore, this MOC can be extended using my own Death Star Control Room, Conference Room and Security Command Center, which Instructions are also available in my webstore.

Promotional text from the 1977 and 1978 Press Kits (with promotional images, remake with Lego bricks).

From now on, I will make images that appear in my 1977 sticker album (Spanish edition).

At the end of 1977, the Spanish publishing house Pacosa Dos Internacional acquired the rights to distribute in Spain the first sticker album related to the movie Star Wars, a film produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by 20th Century Fox a few months earlier. .

This album consisted of a total of 181 in full color and could be purchased at newsstands and grocery stores at a price of 15 pesetas. Most of these stickers were printed with a frame from the film itself, although we could also find a few in which the main actors appeared posing in the typical photographic set.

Next to each of the stickers we found the number assigned to the sticker within the collection and a small description of what the scene or character in question shows.

I hope you like them.

The explosive weapon of choice for the elite squadron of Death Troopers introduced for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016.

A simple design, but then again so is the actual device. Still fun to make!

Yes, that is the official name.

Star Wars Launch Bay was an area at Disney's Hollywood Studios that gave guests a look at the movie props from the Star Wars franchise. Star Wars Launch Bay is the former location of The Magic of Disney Animation. There are special exhibits that give looks behind the scenes of the film, character meet & greets, and merchandise. It closed on March 13, 2020 and was replaced by a "Relaxation Station" to allow guests to safely remove facial coverings while remaining physically distanced.

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.
