Some pilots were arrested after crashing into the planet Hoth.

"Lemme describe an Imp pilot for ya, Artoo—lotsa guts wrapped up in a little skill with no brain."

―Cade Skywalker, to R2-D2

TIE pilots served in the Starfighter Corps of the Imperial Navy by piloting the various TIE Series starfighters. Distinguished by all-black flight suits and bulky, fully enclosed, vacuum-sealed helmets, the Galactic Empire at its height produced millions of TIE pilots and generally considered them expendable assets. The TIE pilots formed the elite of the Imperial Navy's Flight Branch.

They were referred to as "bucketheads" by Rebel pilots, due to their bulky helmets. Within the Imperial forces they were often referred to as "coffin jockeys" due to the high mortality rate of those manning the vulnerable TIE fighters, a holdover from the Galactic Republic's use of clones during the Clone Wars prior to the Empire's formation.

Among the pilots, they were known as "vac-heads" and "ground-hogs," in reference to their roles in the Navy and Army, respectively, due to a significant rivalry between the two factions.

"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers."

―Leia Organa

Governor Wilhuff Tarkin is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, first portrayed by Peter Cushing in the 1977 film Star Wars. He is the commander of the Death Star, the Galactic Empire's dwarf planet-sized doomsday weapon. The character has been called "one of the most formidable villains in Star Wars history.

"Following the Battle of Hoth, Imperial soldiers spend day and night searching for surviving rebels among the downed aircraft."

Battle of Hoth

"My lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com-scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment."

"The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system."

"He...He felt surprise was wiser—"

"He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack."

"Yes, my Lord."

―General Maximillian Veers and Darth Vader

The Battle of Hoth, also known as the attack on Hoth, the assault on Echo Base, attack on Echo Base, or the defense of Echo Base, was a major battle fought in 3 ABY and was considered a major victory for the Galactic Empire and the single worst battlefield defeat suffered by the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. The battle was an Imperial invasion led by Darth Vader, aimed at destroying the Rebel Alliance's Echo Base hidden on the remote ice world Hoth and capturing Luke Skywalker. The base's location was discovered when a Viper probe droid, deployed by Darth Vader's Death Squadron randomly landed on Hoth, convincing the Rebels to begin an evacuation of Hoth.

The Imperial attack force consisted of primarily AT-AT walkers, commanded by General Maximilian Veers. His army was tasked with destroying Echo Base's main power generator to allow orbital bombardment of the planet and for Darth Vader to land on the planet. Spearheading the defense of the generator was Rogue Squadron, manning snowspeeders, commanded by Luke Skywalker, renowned for being the pilot who destroyed the first Death Star. The snowspeeders however did not have the necessary firepower to bring down the walkers, so Skywalker suggested an alternative tactic to trip up the walkers with the tow cables issued to every snowspeeder.

Despite the efforts by Rogue Squadron, the power generator was eventually destroyed by Veers' main AT-AT. The remaining base personnel proceeded to evacuate, as the 501st Legion, led by Darth Vader, entered the base. The overwhelming Imperial invasion forced the Rebellion to scatter the Alliance Fleet across the galaxy, leading to a multitude of scattered skirmishes across the galaxy for over six months before the Empire's sudden and crushing defeat at the Battle of Endor.

"Hahahaha! I can't believe I'm gettin' paid for this."

―Dengar, heading into battle.

Dengar, also known as Dengar the Demolisher, was a Corellian bounty hunter operating since the early stages of the Clone Wars. Dengar participated in an operation on Quarzite—during which he served as a member of Krayt's Claw, a syndicate of hunters including Boba Fett, Bossk, and Asajj Ventress—to secure property valuable to Lord Otua Blank of the planet Quarzite.

Dengar remained active through the Galactic Civil War, during which he was one of several bounty hunters hired by Darth Vader to capture Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon.

Though Dengar ultimately lost Vader's bounty to his rival and partner Boba Fett, he was later present with Bossk and Fett in Jabba's Palace on Tatooine during Solo's rescue by Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker.

In the southern hemisphere of Hoth, a huge ocean churns under the pressure of ice. The tide of the three nameless moons of Hoth causes fissures in the ice sheets, sending jets of ocean water into the icy air of Hoth. Intense cold freezes these jets into ice needles, suspending primitive ocean algae in these tall columns. A species of annelids called ice worms work their way through the ice to feed on the algae, leaving strange tiny holes. This icy world has evolved a number of indigenous life forms, including the ice creature wampa and the tauntaun. Hoth's daytime temperatures were bearable for properly dressed humans, but Hoth's nights are too hostile even for native creatures.

Imperial Jumptroopers, otherwise known as skytroopers, rocket troopers, or air assault troopers, were a variant of stormtrooper trained in airborne environments such as Bespin's Cloud City, or assigned to battlefields with treacherous terrain. They were heavily armed with various projectile launchers or heavy blaster rifles.

They drew inspiration from the Galactic Republic's Rocket-Jumper Elite Advance Unit, an elite soldier trained in the use of airborne assaults, or the Grand Army of the Republic's Clone Jet Troopers. Decades after the Battle of Endor, they were stilled used by Supreme Commander Gilad Pellaeon's Imperial Remnant.

"Since these ones arrived, this territory has been an endless stream of mercenaries seeking reward and bringing destruction."

"Then why did you guide me?"

"They do not belong here. Those that live here come to seek peace. There will be no peace until they're gone."

―Kuiil and Din Djarin[src]

Arvala-7 was a remote desert planet with a barren, rocky surface and breathable atmosphere. During the New Republic Era, it was home to the Ugnaught Kuiil, who lived on a moisture farm with his blurrg. Sometime after Kuiil moved to the world, a group of Nikto mercenaries built an encampment, inside which they kept captive a youngling of the same species as the late Jedi Master Yoda.

Having accepted a contract to retrieve Grogu for his client, the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin traveled to Arvala-7 in his gunship, the Razor Crest. He met Kuiil after the Ugnaught saved him from a blurrg attack, and the farmer offered to help Djarin locate his quarry. Kuiil led Djarin to the mercenary encampment on blurrg mounts and left the Mandalorian to capture the asset on his own. With the help of IG-11, an IG-series assassin droid also working for the Bounty Hunters' Guild, Djarin eliminated the Nikto and located Grogu. He then rescued the youngling from IG-11, who intended to kill him per the Client's request.

Upon returning to the Razor Crest, Djarin discovered his ship had been scrapped by local Jawas for spare parts. With the help of Kuiil, the bounty hunter was able to negotiate a trade for the parts in exchange for a mudhorn egg. Djarin traveled into the cave where the mudhorn dwelt, and only managed to defeat the beast after Grogu used the Force to levitate it. With the egg handed over to the Jawas, Djarin was able to repair his ship and leave Arvala-7.

Djarin would later return to the planet with Carasynthia Dune to recruit Kuiil's help in caring for Grogu while they went on a mission to the planet Nevarro. Kuiil agreed to come along only if IG-11, whom the Ugnaught had repaired and reprogrammed, and the blurrg were allowed to join.

About the person: KUIIL

A vapor farmer on Arvala-7, Kuiil came to seek peace in an out of the way world, which is now being trespassed upon by criminals and mercenaries. He has worked a lifetime to be free of servitude, and offers valuable skills for those willing to meet his price.

At the end of 1977, the Spanish publishing house Pacosa Dos Internacional acquired the rights to distribute in Spain the first sticker album related to the movie Star Wars, a film produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by 20th Century Fox a few months earlier. .

This album consisted of a total of 181 in full color and could be purchased at newsstands and grocery stores at a price of 15 pesetas. Most of these stickers were printed with a frame from the film itself, although we could also find a few in which the main actors appeared posing in the typical photographic set.

Next to each of the stickers we found the number assigned to the sticker within the collection and a small description of what the scene or character in question shows.

Collector's format of the "full attitude" reprogrammed Imperial droid from Rogue One. Made from +3400 parts, 77cm (30") high.

I met some fellow X-Wing owners the other day, we had a wonderful evening sharing tips and info with collectors and enthusiasts. There were some seriously well restored units present, most were in original nicely worn condition and looked superb, but in the end the most exciting ones were the two black and white partisan scheme X-Wings that paid us a visit. You don’t get to see those much anymore, they are super rare. And these were both originals, never restored!

There was an issue with the wing cannons on my X-Wing that needed some work before I could take off later that night. The cannons are decommissioned (required for civilian flight permit) but due to the rather complicated diagnostic system on the old T-65’s they need to be hotwired so that the system thinks they are live. Sometimes the tampered cannon sensors go into failsafe mode and need a manual reboot. These guys are the best when you need anything done with your X-Wing.

This one was influenced by an image I saw I think a couple of years ago, or more. It is an image of an X-Wing on a deck against a red sunset sky, it was almost directly from the front and it had, if I remember it correctly, the canopy open like in my photograph. But for the life of me I can’t remember who was the author of that image nor can I find it now to give credit. It’s probably from someone I follow somewhere.

I’ll update here if it comes up.

I have been wanting to do something like this for a good while now but I didn’t have an appropriate background plate. There was a nice weather for photographing clouds some time ago and now I have what I needed.

So yeah, like the title says, I picked up Rogue One! I bought it on Tuesday, the day of its release, and watched the entire movie and all of its Bonus Features that same night! Disappointed in the lack of Behind The Scenes though, but the rest was pretty cool.

As for the quick update...I'm not dead. I know, I've been gone for two months, but I'm back and I'll be uploading some hauls and outside shots, and I may even try building again. The reason for my absence? I had to make some major life decisions at the end of February/beginning of March. After that, I was mostly trying to figure things out. Then the power went out for a couple days and I had to leave my house and go somewhere else because it was way too cold without heat. Then two weeks later I was sick for a week and that wasn't fun. And all the other days in between I was playing Minecraft nonstop with Neomar Dethron on our private server. Anyway, basically after all of that, I finally have motivation to start posting again. So...Yay. :P

As a side-note, In that two month time, I also watched Iron Fist (Really liked it), 13 Reasons Why (Damn good imo, it grabbed me and had me invested the whole way through), I'm currently watching It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (On Season 7 and its so hilarious, I love it!), and I went and saw Logan a couple days ago (Such an amazing movie...). And I guess that's it...There's a little update. :)

Who is excited for Star Wars Celebration in a week? I know I am! Celebrating 40 years of Star Wars, The Last Jedi Trailer, EA Battlefront II Trailer (Hoping for Clone Wars Era content), and who knows what other news/info will be revealed! I'm glad the Star Wars YouTube channel Livestreams the whole thing.

I just wanted to have these two figures side by side. I thought it looked pretty cool considering the fact that the Shadow ARF Trooper has been in obscurity for years.
