One of the oldest developers, and actually the first photographic patent ever filed. Agfa Rodinal. Loved around the world by medium and large format photographers for its sharpness and good tonality. The slightly higher graininess compared to more modern developers, which might be a nuisance for 35mm, is readily accepted in the larger negative formats of 6x6cm and 4x5".

I have really fallen for processing color film in BW chemicals. Its cheap and super easy, and works really well for that old Kodak Gold you have laying around the house.
I think what has gotten me is how fun it is to scan. Becuase you dont take off all the emulsion layers you are left with very dark negatives. If you scan them as color negatives though, you end up with very cool tones and effects. I do feel like this is a bit of a cheap effect, and could be just as easily done in photoshop, but..... screw it i like it and will continue to do it.
I will say that i wish i new how to control the color more, as i think this would look better in blue hues. But i still like the speia like quality.
