Revisited Rods Saw shop to redo this sign which has some real character Liking this one better.
If one finds them self in Fairbanks and have time there are numerous old shop like this which have been around for decades. Don't hesitate to step inside and visit the folks are friendly.

One of the things I love most about where I live is that the neatest things are out in the middle of nowhere.
Op vakantie bezoek ik vele kerken. Om verschillende redenen. Elke keer kijk ik mijn ogen uit. Hoe het er van buiten uit ziet ben ik vaak van onder de indruk. Maar ook van de binnenkant kan ik van onder de indruk raken. Bij deze kerk werd ik aangetrokken naar deze brandende kaarsjes. Op dat moment denk je altijd wel aan een dierbare die is overleden of die extra zorg of liefde nodig heeft.......

No.51 Squadrons's Hawker Siddeley Nimrod R.1 XW664 makes a late afternoon arrival at RAF Coningsby back in February 2006.
Now finally being replaced by the 'new' Boeing Airseeker' (RC-135 Rivet Joint) variants - the 2nd of which has just been delivered, for some four decades, three specially equipped Nimrods were the mainstay of our SIGINT and ELINT force - clandestinely keeping tabs on those who try to undermine our establishment.
Of the three R.1's that were delivered,
XW664 is now preserved at the East Midlands Aeropark collection.
XW665 (see below)
XW666 was lost in a ditching accident and replaced by a converted MR.2 XV249, the latter now preserved at the
RAF Museum Cosford.
