Gestern in der Vulkaneifel bei Niederdürenbach, im Hintergrund die Burgruine Olbrück.
Auf dem Wasserspiegel des renaturierten Rodder Maar (war bis vor gut 10 Jahren ausgetrocknet) blüht zur Zeit großflächig die Europäische Seekanne (Nymphoides peltata).
Yesterday in the volcanic Eifel near Niederdürenbach, in the background the castle ruin Olbrück.
On the water level of the renatured Rodder Maar (was until about 10 years dried) flowers at the time the yellow floating-heart or fringed water-lily (nymphoides peltata )

Cumbres and Toltec RR, Engine 489, K-36 Class, at the first crossing heading to Cumbres. I edited it in HDR, a little unusual for me but I liked the look. It is said that a "proper" steam train photograph is taken when the rods are in the down position. And so it is.... :)

Across the channel, a ribbon of campfire smoke escapes through the trees.
Fort Langley is a village community forming part of the Township of Langley in British Columbia, Canada. It has a population of 3,400. It is the home of Fort Langley National Historic Site, a former fur trade post of the Hudson's Bay Company. Lying on the Fraser River, Fort Langley is at the northern edge of the Township of Langley. As every year in July, the European water lily (yellow floating-heart or fringed water-lily, Nymphoides peltata) blooms extensively on the surface of the renaturalized Rodder Maar (a lake of volcanic origin).
The landscape there invites you to hike and linger, and that is also on my agenda today.
Auf dem Wasserspiegel des renaturierten Rodder Maar blüht wie jedes Jahr im Juli großflächig die Europäische Seekanne oder Teichkanne (Nymphoides peltata).
Die Landschaft dort läd zum wandern und verweilen ein, auch heute steht das auf meinem Tagesprogramm.
