I did not partake of the blankets, as the hotel was closed on Dec 26th. My father loves to have lunch at the Atlantic Hotel in Berlin, MD, and then shop the antique stores.

The original lodge, built by Henry Cutting, stills stands as Flagler County's oldest intact structure.
The Grand Hotel is located on Mackinac Island on Lake Huron near the meeting point of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Its porch, shown here, is 660 feet long and is the world's largest. The porch is visible from your boat as you approach the island.
I have photographed this old rocking chair so many times in the last 7 years. It used to seem to me that someone was going to rescue it with cleaning and new paint. I don't believe that will happen any more. Do you see Wiki sitting here?

You can't beat having your favorite warm beverage sitting in front of the Wilderness Lodge fireplace. It's been a while since I visited Disney World at Christmas time. This was taken a few years ago. Maybe next year....

While hiking the hills near my house I was surprised and delighted to see this cozy rocking chair set-up aimed at the blazing western sky. The distant purple hills are the Pacific coastal range. Can't you imagine sitting there with someone special, slowly and quietly rocking, watching the sky turn dark and the stars appear?
De-focused apple orchard bokeh...shot with the Helios 44M. Makes your eyes go a bit funny but I like the odd strange image ;-))
I got this at a yard sale last year. I paid more for this one then I usually would have, but I just loved this one. The lady that sold it to me said it belonged to her father, so it's from about 1900. Even the cushion is original. She told me some of her family history and showed some other beautiful things that she has that were not for sale.
Late in the day, during our recent family trip to Clovermead Adventure Farm, I was feeling the heat, so I left the family at the splash area, and went and got myself a blue slushy. I took off all the camera gear, and set my two cameras down, then, sat myself down in this rocker in the shade and enjoyed watching the world pass by. lol Through that door is the Beestro Cafe. It's actually just a hot dog/drink place with no seating. Rocker + Porch = Summer Heaven.
