handmade by my uncle; he made plans from a full-size rocking chair, measured Clarity, and then did it by trail & error. It even rocks. He's a genius!

This little active 6 month old was really fun to shoot. Her mom had a headband or bow for each of the 6 outfits we tried on!

Ok so there were lots of attempts made at taking a picture of the boy in my rocking chair with the cat that looked like my cat. Basically we were trying to recreate a photo from 1982...

I think we probably should have done it when the cat was younger & my child was less bathing-suit-y.

My intention was to take a shot of me with the only plant I have not killed, which is now dying. But Gromit couldn't stand not being in the photo. The plant isn't even in focus because I had to move to keep him from jumping up on me!

My Grandfather made this chair himself many years ago. My mother used it when she was a child and passed it on to me when I was very young. I'm guessing that it is at least 60 years old.

finally! after hope springing eternally it was warm enough to sit on the front porch in the rocking chair and gawk at the passerbys.

no lemonade though. not quite warm enough for that yet, but soon perhaps.

This was an attempt to duplicate the shoot we had done a few weeks prior with the ring light Chris had made; hopefully this time with no hard-drive crashing, allowing for prints and edits. Not exactly like the last series, but it carries it's own brand of pizazz :)

i came across this older Nelson lamp during a recent visit to Tulsa...while waiting to be installed in the new home it found itself a place to rest.

Also, does anyone know the history of the early Saucer Lamps and their metal structure, this example seems to have about half the amount of metal frames. anyone?
