This is a close-up photo of light and shadow on a beach rock. The larger grain of beach sand reminds me of those 'pale blue dot' images of planet earth in the vastness of space as seen from Saturn.

From oldrockhouse.com: “Old Rock House is a concert venue and event space located in downtown St. Louis, between the Soulard neighborhood and Busch Stadium.
The renovated Old Rock House building borrows its name from a historic riverfront building dismantled in 1959 to make way for the Gateway Arch.” Thanks for having a look.

Rock Creek sustained the most severe damage of all hatcheries. With the exception of the Rock Ed Education Center, all buildings and employee housing were either destroyed or severely damaged by the Archie Creek Fire. Staff access has been more limited than at other facilities due a number of hazards around the site including downed trees and power lines. Some hazards were eliminated to allow staff to get in Wednesday (Sept. 16), remove about 700 remaining adult spring Chinook and summer steelhead and move them to Cole Rivers Hatchery with the intent to spawn and collect enough eggs to meet Rock Creek’s production goals. Staff estimates 400,000 juvenile fish were lost and although the extent of fish loss is currently unknown, we expect to know more later.

Rock Pipit on a rock - of course.
Taken on the edge of a loch on the beautiful Isle of Mull last September.
Along the coast is the "Incomputa", an unfinished road open to pedestrians and joggers. The steep coast is secured with heavy wire nets. Before that the road was rockfall endangered. This rock must have fallen into the sea a long time ago.
Another view from under the Rock Bridge at Spitzkoppe in daylight. We had set up our cameras on the rocks in the foreground for this night shot. The Pontok Mountains are in the distance.
To give you a sense of scale, you may just be able to see Mal and Ange in the centre of the shot...
