Little something different this time, a common pigeon! Wanted to experiment with the newer curved bits, had a blast making this little guy.
Enjoy, let me know what you guys think in the comments!
Note: The two 30602 Slope, Curved 2 x 2 Lip elements on the chest were supposed to be purple, not dark purple, but the BL seller made a mistake. Hope to update those soon.

The first proper photo from our trip down the south coast of England. It's basically a straight out of the camera JPG!

The artificial stack of rock was left in the 1870s after a natural arch was cut away by quarrymen. It was intentionally left as a quarrying relic.

Wisconsin & Southern train L867 emerges from Ableman's Gorge near Rock Springs, Wisconsin on October 21, 2024.
All of my trips get a “code name” so when I’m saving files or making plans, labeling it is easier. This summer’s trip was called “Red Rock Summer”. There’s irony, then, in having my first two photos posted from the trip be in shades of deep blue. Time to fix that with a Cathedral Valley sunrise.
Chimney Rock Park, April 2007
Rachelle and I took a day trip to Chimney Rock Park in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. We wanted to take a short trip to get used to traveling with Emily. She did just fine; sleeping in the car most of the way to the park and in her pack on my chest while her mother and I hiked along the trails. Having her on my chest made hiking up and down the trails interesting, since I couldn't see my feet! That will take a bit of getting used to.
The weather wasn't very cooperative. It was cold and blustery, and cloudy, but the views were incredible, nonetheless.
This is a view of Chimney Rock with Lake Lure in the background taken from the Opera Box.

Spider Rock is easily the most photographed part of Arizona's Canyon de Chelly. It's quite the sight at sunset! I captured this shot as the last light of the day cast a long shadow onto the adjacent canyon wall.
Taken from camera, with bumps to contrast and saturation. From a live Ambertone show June 30th: This is lead singer Greg Pontoni pulling back from the microphone.
I am dying to share some of the CD photos, but have to wait a little longer (at least until pressing of the cd starts).

Did you know there is an actual science and prediction to movement photos in sparse lighting? I didn't until I was researching night photography. All those years I thought the movement and ghosts were cool...but didn't know one could control it some. Love the internet. (I will post the how to when and if I can re-find it. Will be more helpful than my limited knowledge and experience.)
There are such a variety of rocks on a beach near Santa Barbara, California and nicely arranged as well!
Some of my old rock climbing gear, some was still shiny new at this point but it never saw much action.
A BNSF stack train rolls by station sign of Rock Island at track speed. Those granite bluffs are pretty impressive.
We were lucky to be at Observation Rock just at the right time to see this rainbow. Looking towards Paterson Inlet. Oban, Stewart Island/Rakiura, New Zealand.
