Sand ripples at Amenia Beach, San Andres, Catanduanes. This beach was the first of the long line of cream-colored beaches along Catanduanes' southern coast that we visited during our first day at this island province.
The tide was out and the waves had left wonderful ripples in the sand between the rocks, leading on to the sea beyond

Sailing through icebergs and fog off Greenland's north west coast all sense of direction disappears. It was an eerie feel as we - a group of 8 - and 3 crew - started out. After about an hour, the Captain said "We're going to need a bigger boat!" and turned back!
I'm sure he was totally unaware he'd quoted one of the famous lines from "Jaws".
We did indeed get a bigger boat - a huge cargo boat - that effortlessly and safely took us to our destination.

We are waiting to see how the current outbreak of covid will ripple into our lives. Nothing is certain except that it is all fluid and we must bend with the wind (or in this case rain, lockdown and covid!). Have a great weekend and keep smiling. Intentional ICM
The swan was moving quite quickly and the resultant ripples were disturbing the reflections of the trees in a most spectacular fashion!!
A House Sparrow makes ripples in the birdbath with only slight movements. This is one of my favorite photos with the sparrow in bokeh in the background.
My first macro shot is not so micro. The ripple in front of this rock attracted my attention and left a rather interesting pattern while serving as my first use with a new macro lens.
