Ripples on the sand on the coast near the salt lake of Livanates in Greece.
Canada's stockmarkets seem to be reacting to what is happening in the US economy with a big drop in the TSX today..Global economies everywhere are also experiencing negative effects....like a stone in a pond, we are all affected by the ripples...so i will just spend my time looking at beautiful images and try not to think about it! Happy Monday Blues.....
Enjoy what is left of your Easter break. Have a wonderful peaceful happy week dear friends.
So afraid to unravel what we've made
Out of everything that changed before our eyes
You see the turning of the tide will bring us back to the shore

This is a photo of the evening light casting shadows on beach sand ripple patterns that have just been revealed as the tide withdraws at Clam Harbour Beach.
"A ripple effect occurs when an initial disturbance to a system propagates outward to disturb an increasingly larger portion of the system, like ripples expanding across the water when an object is dropped into it."
This is not just a duck in a pond at sunset. It is a symbol of a phenomenon that we have all experienced directly in 2020. At one level the COVID-19 virus spread from one part of the world to everywhere very quickly like ripples on a pond. But not just the virus. The follow on effects of lock downs, loss of freedoms, jobs, security, pressure on medical systems, collapsing economies, all point to the ripple effect.
But ripple effects are not all bad either. In fact the same principle can lead to rapid solutions and even the healing of the world's woes. If we can find a way to create positive solutions to enhance the eco-system of our planet things can get better. But the choice is ours.
This is for Sliders Sunday today, based on an ICM of the local autumn beechwoods.
It was made entirely in Affinity using the Mirror filter (two mirrors), the ripple filter, and posterise on multiple copies of the layers blended together. (Do ask if you would like the Affinity file for more detail!)
I'll post a link to the in-camera version in the first comment as usual so that you can see whence we came :) I'll also post a link to the proper processed version of the ICM.
Thank you for taking the time to look. I hope you enjoy the image. Happy Sliders Sunday :)

This is another abstract created from tree reflections on our pond. This is about the only thing those cottonwood trees are good for. This and the fact that the ducks love to eat the pollen that comes off the trees.
Happy Sliders Sunday!
Earlier this year I paid a visit to our local Wildlife Park. Spent a while there enjoying the open air and the inhabitants. It was so calm that the flamingos were making continuous ripples as they filtered the water.
I'm very busy all these days maybe next weekend of June 15 I'll be back after working with my new pc. Right now I don't have time at all for commenting or view your photos but I'll be back soon. Miss your photos and I like to admire them in my pc not in my phone.
š Enjoy the weekend and by the way June 14 is my last day of work, I'm retiring, finally.
š Hugs to everybody and keep posting!
