St Joseph's Church, San Antonio, Texas, USA. Built in 1868 by German speaking Catholics. Old by American history, but nothing compared to other historical churches around the world.

Reverence to this jewel of the forest...how not to bow before such beauty. Lady's-slipper, this queen of the undergrowth... spectacular purple inflorescence well erected among this carpet of moss and ferns. Lady's slipper. Steady lady's-slipper. Portneuf, Quebec, Canada.

Caught in that fleeting moment where the golden desert light meets the icy peaks of the La Sals.

This view from Arches National Park reminds me how wild, contrasting, and humbling the desert can be.

Shot just as the sun dipped low, giving the sandstone its richest hues and casting deep shadows between these stoic formations.

The mountains in the distance seem like a completely different world—and yet here they are, sharing the same breath of light.

La Jolla, CA.

My wife and I paid tribute to the 40 individuals that perished on United Flight 93 during our visit this afternoon to the Flight 93 Memorial. This is the Tower of Voices. Inside this structure are 40 wind chimes, representing the 40 that died. When the wind exceeds 15 MPH the chimes mimic voices. I photographed the inside of the structure and while doing so the wind blew hard enough to effect the chimes. It brought chills to the back of my neck and a few tears swelled up in my eyes as well.

"Worship means reverence and humility it means revering your real self and humbling delusions."

Don't mind the "sloping" horizon. I have no editing power right now! Would be great, had I shot this in Black and white - wishful thinking. For now this is as it is.

Happy days :)

I felt such a sense of reverence & privilege to watch these 2 massive creatures as they briefly came together & then split apart

For the title I wanted something that evokes the beauty of the aging process.

Yoko Ono's quote reflects what I want to say:

“Spring passes and one remembers one's innocence.

Summer passes and one remembers one's exuberance.

Autumn passes and one remembers one's reverence.

Winter passes and one remembers one's perseverance.”

The inspiration for this painting was a rainy October stroll in Presqu'Ile Provincial Park next to Lake Ontario in Canada. There is so much beauty to be seen under our feet!

From our night photography workshop in April 2015 at Sandy Point Beach park in Stockton Springs, Maine. My good friend Cheryl poses on a huge chunk of snow and ice in awe of the night sky as her camera was shooting a time lapse of the rising Milky Way behind the old pilings.

Composite of the sculpture named, “Reverence”, was created by Jim Sardonis in 1989. Carved from 36 tons of African black granite, the tails stand between 12 and 13 feet tall and are meant to symbolize the fragility of the planet.

This is the urn in the forecourt of the strangley named Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. The Chinatown district is a mix of Buddhist temples, Indian Temples and Mosques...all incredibly interesting. It is intentionally quite dark and there was some horrible distracting signs behind it ..

A new spin on a classic.

This week, following the loss of a dear friend, I received a poignant gift—a forget-me-not ornament. In tribute, I incorporated it into a still life photograph. I bought three vibrant orange flowers, I arranged them within a blue jug I had, highlighting the complementary colours of blue and orange. Placing these elements on a tabletop, I added depth by including a crumpled orange scarf as a base. During the editing process, I opted for a painterly effect, trying to give the image with a sense of nostalgia and reverence.

PLEASE, NO invitations or self promotions, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.

Fishing boat "Reverence" at Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peggys Cove is a small community located on the eastern shore of St. Margarets Bay in Nova Scotia, which is famous for the Lighthouse (established 1868).

From its founding, the community's economy revolved around the fishery. However, tourism began to overtake fishing in economic importance following the Second World War. Today, Peggys Cove is primarily a tourist attraction, although its inhabitants still fish for lobster, and the community maintains undeveloped appearance.

LA RÉVÉRENCE... TULIP

Each flower is carefully chosen by me, precisely for that, indivduality and what it conveys to me. What I saw here was a tulip bowing deeply, in reverence? Or a mother carrying her children heavily?

Talk to me? I'm listening!

Have a wonderful day, filled with love and thanx for your visit, M, (*_*)
