Durham’s first annual ReUse Rodeo! On Saturday, April 22nd, Keep Durham Beautiful accepted gently used books, clothing, furniture, working electronics, household appliances, cookware, tools, craft supplies, and more, to be donated to area non-profits and distributed back into the community.

I wanted to show how plastic is affecting our oceans and I had this idea to place this image from The New Yorker inside the Reduce, Reuse, Recyle symbol. This is to show the importance of Recycling (etc..). I really like the photograph that I found from The New Yorker because it shows a small amount of how much plastic ends up in the ocean and I think it's very powerful to see that. The main message I wanted to get across with this montage is the importance of reducing our use of plastic, and reusing it when possible as well as recycling.

Flats aren't re-painted until the set is completely build, so any markings or special paint from previous shows is still visible. This markings were not-so-subtle reminders to cast members that mics were live backstage (or wherever the flat was previously installed).
These are glass jars re-used as food storage containers. Glas is better than plastic :)
I prefer re-using over re-cycling if I can.

Found this in my loft when i moved in, always thought I could use it for something but what........ organic liquid fertiliser. That's my giant tea bag of nettles hanging out of it. May not be squeaky clean organic as garden backs onto fields and they were out spraying the other day. Try my best to not dig, not use chemicals or weed killer. As for slugs they either get launched into the field or drunk on beer!!!!

RSPB Scotland have commented “Scotland is home to an amazing variety of wildlife and habitats and we need to ensure we’re doing all we can to protect them. A deposit return scheme would be an integral part of helping to reduce waste in Scotland and lessen our impact on our natural environment.”
