A project aiming to minimise plastic bag waste. Reusing and manipulating plastic bags, turning the disposable into desirable objects for consumers. Sample made by free machine embroidery and pleating plastic bags.
Two layers of tile were removed, the floor boards taken up, flipped over and reinstalled. Next step is to fill the nail holes, seal, sand, stain and top coats.
I felt bad withholding these until her birthday, as they could have saved a little planet before then.
Volunteers designed and decorated reusable tote bags. The bags are going to be given out at local food pantry sites to encourage green living and healthy lifestyles.
You do not see bathtubs like these much anymore. As you can see, much of the bathroom comes from discards.

I was in Portland for the "Filmed by Bike" opening night throwdown. I saw this bike that put new meaning into recycle. This was it's handlebars.
I read somewhere that the canvas used in a typical reusable bag is equal to the materials of 300 cheap disposable grocery bags...but I have used these bags over and over, and they hold more than the throw away kind.
