The James River originates in the Appalachian Mountains and flows 348 miles to the Chesapeake Bay, and is the only whitewater river that runs through an urban landscape.
The Alliance is dedicated to restoring rivers, like the James, and streams throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We celebrated the James by watching the sunset from a high vantage point overlooking the beautiful river at The Taste: Celebrate the Chesapeake, at Blue Atlas Restaurant and Market on September 7, 2023.
Located in a restored, historic schoolhouse in the Fulton Hill neighborhood, Blue Atlas is an adaptively reused building overlooking the James River - a true story of sustainability and economic viability.
The Taste is a celebration of our Chesapeake Bay watershed, offering live music, locally-inspired eats, awards ceremonies, silent auctions, and comradery. As the Alliance’s largest annual fundraiser, the Taste brings together like-minded corporations and conservationists within three distinct Chesapeake Bay watershed communities.
Construction underway on the now-open 4-Star Embassy Suites hotel in the former Amerock Building in downtown Rockford, IL. This was Rockford's first skyscraper when the first part of the building was built in 1912. The second and third additions were built in 1919 and 1950, respectively.

The reusable sandwich wraps are made from 100% cotton material on the outside and a water proof material on the inside. i use one to wrap my son's lunches. As well, he uses it as a placemat to eat his lunch on. I wipe the inside down on a daily basis and once a week I put it in the washing machine (cold water) and tumble dry on delicate.
They come in an assortment of colours and are $9 each

These are, for the most part, completely unedited and being posted "as is". I'll try to clean up the lighting and color on a few of the better ones and post them later, but these are pretty much the raw dump. All I've done here is remove things that are terribly out of focus, or have some other really obvious problem.
This production used recycled/reused materials for both the set and costuming whenever possible.
Many thanks to Ray and the cast and crew for letting me barge in and take pictures during this rehearsal. The show was enormously fun, and I really enjoyed shooting.

This wooden gear was used to make a mold to cast a gear for an elevator. It's been a mirror frame for 30 years.
Freecycle is an internet user group who are interested in reusing stuff that is no longer needed as a better way of recycling. This morning I have picked up a couple of six foot gates and a 12 foot gate. Recently we have has a colour Tv and a fruit press. We have given away a very large number of egg boxes. Our local group is for the Oswestry area, there should be a group near you It is an excellent way of getting stuff for free and someone else making use of the stuff you no longer need. You also get to meet some like minded folk in the process.

Europeana 2025 saw hundreds of professionals from across Europe come together to explore the common European data space for cultural heritage and the future of digital cultural heritage. The conference took place in Warsaw from 11 - 12 June 2025, under the patronage of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the EU. It was organised in collaboration and partnership with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the National Institute of Cultural Heritage and the POLIN Museum in Warsaw, who hosted the conference.
