Austin Creative Reuse hosted two materials drive for Austin educators: school teachers (public, private, charter), after school teachers, day care providers, etc. They received materials for use in their classrooms and programs. We collected materials from the community and local businesses and distributed to Austin area educators. They were so appreciative and we were happy to support the community.

These are perfect for reducing plastic waste and making your lunch look prettier! The wraps are all handmade using upcycled fabric on the outside and lined with water-resistant, certified food-safe PUL. They work great for sandwiches, wraps, rolls and cookies and can be used as a placemat while eating. I sometimes use mine to wrap up leftovers in the fridge.
They have velcro closings which I have left longer on one side to make the size more adjustable.
I recommend just wiping them with soapy water to wash but I’ve had mine in the machine quite a few times over the past 18 months and they’re totally fine :) Do not tumble dry or microwave and if for some reason you feel the need to iron them, do it on the fabric side.
PUL Fabric PUL fabric is a lightweight polyester fabric paired with a special thin stretchy plastic film. I use Prosoft PUL which is CPSIA certified food-safe fabric, water-resistant, very durable and totally eco-friendly and safe to use! The process used to make Prosoft PUL emits no toxic waste or VOCs that are harmful to the environment and is manufactured with no harmful chemicals or finishes.

Even the box that shipped the donated toys and books was used. This lady carried it away to use as a wardrobe.
I made a deal with myself that before I cast on any more knitting projects, I must make a significant dent in the pile of unfinished projects that has taken over my knitting basket.
First on the list was this swiffer cloth, which really only needed to have the ends woven in and be blocked.

www.vcc.ne.jp/eco2007/english/index.html The 9th Eco Products 2007 - Eco style fair.
With the emergence of the global warming issue, interest in the Earth's environment is suddenly rising. The environmental issue is now widely accepted as a real and compelling problem both by businesses and ordinary citizens, thanks in part to the wide reporting of abnormal weather and increasing temperatures by the media and hit movies based on environmental themes, among other things. This has had an effect on people's lifestyles, and now Eco Products are gradually moving from the age of the consumer who will "buy Eco Products when they are available nearby" to those who will "seek out and buy Eco Products proactively".
Next year, in 2008, marks the start of the commitment period of the Kyoto Protocol. And it is certain that the problems surrounding development of alternate energy, chemical substance regulations spreading in Europe, etc., will be drawing the attention of the world more than ever. It is becoming increasingly important to have a corporate image that they are developing and selling Eco Products as well as making aggressive efforts to protect the environment and focusing on CSR for establishing a company's corporate brand.
This fair was started in 1999 which makes this year as the 9th year of this fair. In 2006, the number of exhibitor companies and organizations was over 572, and more than 150,000 people attended, including 13,000 children who were there to learn about the environment. It is becoming more and more known as Japan's biggest environmental fair.
