Volunteers designed and decorated reusable tote bags. The bags are going to be given out at local food pantry sites to encourage green living and healthy lifestyles.

Making use of everything is a village tradition. This artful bag was crocheted from recycled plastic bags collected from trips to the grocery store in Anchorage 180 miles away, newspaper wrappings, and cellophane meat wrappers from the Iliamna trading post. The bags are cut into strips, twisted together into "yarn" and crocheted. Each artist/craft person has her own style.

This was a case that came with trial size skin care tubes. I have used it as a sewing toolbox forever - 10 years. I use it more than the skin care products:)

Austin Creative Reuse hosted two materials drive for Austin educators: school teachers (public, private, charter), after school teachers, day care providers, etc. They received materials for use in their classrooms and programs. We collected materials from the community and local businesses and distributed to Austin area educators. They were so appreciative and we were happy to support the community.

I'm going to attempt to make a home or office version of Minnie's Magic Compost Tea brewer using these 64 ounce yogurt containers. I'm trying to cover them with spray paint, first a primer, then purple will come next, I hope.

Use these reusable Q-tips to help keep the environment clean. The reusable cotton Q-tips are gentle enough to use on fragile body parts such as the head, behind the eyes, and so on. They can be used to remove makeup, mud, and grease, among other things. www.qieco.co
