In the world of reusable tote sacs, I've been wondering why there weren't any that just look like regular old grocery bags. So I made one.
Made from durable thick white cotton. French seams along the inside side seams and on the outside top and bottom seams.
This one has been a good prototype, and now I know what kinks to work out. Hopefully more progress to come soon.

Stephanie and I found these while shopping in Iowa City, and they are hugely handy, because they fold up small and clip to your bag, so you always have it with you.
It's pretty simple really, The ReUse Project is about finding multiple uses for things and throwing nothing away that doesn't have to be. ReUsing is kind of like Recycling, only we arent geting rid of things, we are finding new uses for them.
Here are a few examples of how you might ReUse...
Example 1:
I was walking down the street the other day when i found ________ in the trash. I decided to take ________ home and turned it into _________.
Example 2:
I had _______ sitting in my closet for the last million years and I finally did something with it.
Example 3:
I got _________ for my birthday this year, and i really didnt like it, so i cut it up and turned it into _______.
There are many ways to ReUse.

Reusable goody bags are great little drawstring bags that can be used for kiddos to keep their prized posessions and treasures. This group is on the girly side - great to use for birthday party goody bags that can be used again and again.

I was told that this looks like an underwater scene. Something that would be growing at the sea bottom. This was once a Ford exhaust header. I did some tweaking in the hydraulic press now the mounting flanges (little faces) looking like their surprised..

For Earth Month 2012, Green Mountain Energy employees are sharing photos of how they live green each and every day. Both at work and at home, we all try to reduce our daily environmental impact in various ways. Here's a glimpse into how our employees are living green - and tips on what you can do to reduce your impact, too!
Starbucks is selling these for $3.95. Honestly, they should be free (at least for Gold Card members). Imagine the impact if a million of these were handed out to loyal customers.
Electronics technician in Madurai. India imposes hefty duties/tariffs on electronics (~30%) to curb imports and bolster manufacturing. These taxes make repairs worthwhile.

This one is made out of sheer lining material. Hems done with a zig-zag stitch. French seams on the inside side seams and on the outside top and bottom seams. Button hole details on the handles.
See other photos of the project and the original prototype I made out of thick cotton fabric in my photostream.
I used some pieces of carpet to create this general holder. It can be used as phone holder, kindle holder, book holder etc.
Here is how this was done, together with another 3 carpet reusing ideas:
The reuse groups tent was made out of items they found while dumpster diving. The shell is plastic bags that have been ironed together. This is from the 2006 trip.
Just a picture of a Food Basics reuseable bag. I believe this design was introduced in 2017. Previously Food Basics just shared a design with Metro (with the logo changed). These bags are made of woven PET. Fun fact Food Basics and it’s sister store in Quebec, Super C, basically share a design language. The people on the bag are also used in promotional material at Super C. I don’t really like the design of this bag that much. I don’t know why they decided to put people on it as fashion ages poorly (and you’re not supposed to include people in your designs if you’re intending to use them long term).
