Reversible reusable grocery bags made fom a pattern I partially drafted based on instructions from
earth girl fabrics, but I lined the bag completely to make it sturdier rather than just facing it. I think the hippo and elephant material is Kokka - the lining fabric (shown on top) came from Joann's. My attempt at assembly instructions accompany the photo of the polka dot bags.

This is my second set of 6 of these. The first 6 were given away as christmas presents, last year.
I lost my steam on these, about halfway through. They are totally cute bags and very easy to make but making 12 (total) of the same item is a real drag for me. So these have been sitting around, half sewn, for a couple of months while I did other things. I finally banged these out this past weekend and then finished the sash the other night.
My only real modification is that I added enough hook and loop tape to the sash that it could hold 2-6 bags. It's not as pretty, with all the extra pieces of tape on it but I think it's more functional.
How cute is this fabric, though?

It's pretty simple really, The ReUse Project is about finding multiple uses for things and throwing nothing away that doesn't have to be. ReUsing is kind of like Recycling, only we arent geting rid of things, we are finding new uses for them.
Here are a few examples of how you might ReUse...
Example 1:
I was walking down the street the other day when i found ________ in the trash. I decided to take ________ home and turned it into _________.
Example 2:
I had _______ sitting in my closet for the last million years and I finally did something with it.
Example 3:
I got _________ for my birthday this year, and i really didnt like it, so i cut it up and turned it into _______.
There are many ways to ReUse.
