DP2M really did me in for sharpness. But it isn't practical for shooting in general (it works great only at ISO100). So now I am more conscious about shooting with my X-Pro1 trying to get the best resolution and sharpness. I've been shooting this Sky at Home set strictly at ISO 100-400 fearing noise at low light. Today I am experiementing with ISO 800 for the first time. It's nice not having to hold my breath while squeezing the shutter release button in order to prevent camera shake. But is the higher noise level worth it? Can't wait to experiment with this more.
This view was generated from the digital terrain model and the nadir and colour channels of the High Resolution Stereo Camera on ESA’s Mars Express. It shows a bird’s-eye view of a region inside Trouvelot Crater, and features the worn-away crater wall in the background; the dark, volcanic deposits covering the crater floor; and a light-toned mound seen sitting within these deposits.
The dark material has been shaped by wind into rippling dunes known as ‘barchan’ dunes, visible as the smaller, darker marks sweeping from bottom-left to middle-right. These dunes are characteristically crescent-shaped, and created when winds blow in one direction.
The light-toned mound can be seen to the upper-left of the frame; this feature is around 20 km long and covered in ridges and grooves. It’s thought that this mound formed in the presence of water, but the exact processes involved remain a matter of debate.

My first Pola-Neg of 2013. Fujifilm FP-100c instant film, converted to color negative using bleach process. Shot with Mamiya RB67 Pro S and Sunray projection lens with polaroid back. This is the best polaneg that I've made, and I think I have the process under control now.

Samuel Jessurun de Mesquita was a Jewish-Dutch painter, woodblock artist, and designer active in Amsterdam during the late 19th to early 20th century. He initially produced delicate watercolor drawings. However, he soon switched to decorative arts, as well as woodcuts and etchings. Mesquita’s works drew upon geometrical composition, simplicity concentrating on the main form, making them modern and unique. His recurrent themes included people portraits, exotic animals, plants, and flowers. His life tragically ended in 1944 when he, together with his family, was deported to Auschwitz. Two years later, a retrospective exhibition was set up in his honor at Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum. We have curated some of the best Mesquita public domain works for you to download under the Creative Commons 0 license.

The area covered in the image spans about two-thirds of a mile (1.1 kilometers) wide, in the Gordii Dorsum portion of the Medusae Fossae region of Mars. The image is from the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. North is up. Note the shadows cast by some of the walls.

Defiant by name, Defiant against the cloudy backdrop and just caught in a breath of sun, 68005 leads sister cat 68022 on 1q01 Derby - Derby via St Pancras,this working more commonly seen with NMT (see previous Photo) but happy with 68's. Believe the pair were 8 late passed us and lost time throughout, however, the working must have missed a route section as the cats arrived back at base in Derby approx. 85 minutes early!

• Make more doll clothes
• Do more photostories
Not Doll Related:
• Work on Illustrations (I want to draw more)
• Earn $10,000 through etsy sales (BAHAHAHAHAHAHA... yeah, so not going to happen... but... uh, it's something to aim for, right?)
• Work on store branding for my etsy shop
• Pay off all debt (also not going to happen, having just bought a house, about to have a baby, and needing to buy a new car... but hey, a girl can dream)
So yeah... lofty goals, and a few of them I know I won't complete,
but I'm hoping to make a dent in them!

I rather lost sight of me
my passions, desires and goals
as my little business shot off into the stratosphere
leaving behind it many tough things to contend with.
Oh and a busted car in 2008

but my old banger is still with me
and I do not think I will ever want to part with it.

Quite harsh I suppose but to be honest it was not THE best year
Maybe the sun was moving over Venus and setting in Mercury
my biorhythms were dancing to a heavy beat
or maybe it was just a very long run of bad luck.
Nowt too harsh though but simply a year where nothing much moved on in my life
but lots creatively and reflectively
a fair bargain I suppose.
New Year's Eve
a night
one to think of the year gone by (slightly with two fingers up)
and look forward to the new one
with childlike eyes, wonderment and anticipation.
In 2009 I aim to
laugh even more ..... mind you in tough times I still do that
see more of friends and family
walk more
create more
enjoy
and slow down.
The latter being the most important
as last year was a blur
as I bumbled through in the bubble of my work
and have popped out the other end
slightly dazed
confused
but ready
oh so ready
to make this year to come
My year, Our year ..... !!!!!
So with no further ado
I must put my party togs on
and pop out into the evening
with my chums
and celebrate the end .....
and the beginning.
I wish you all a memorable night and
remember
just remember
drink water before you go to sleep
as the world is gonna have one hell of a hangover tomorrow.

The great thing about the epic landscape is that it presents an entirely different universe from season to season, from day to day, from hour to hour, from second to second, with the ever changing wind, tides, clouds, and sun. A split second with tumbling surf and a sinking sun can make a vast different, resulting in entirely different photographs.
