"The Resolution” is a protest to the violation of human rights. On the round cement basis of approximately a meter in height, part of the text of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is written in embossed Greek letters. A stack of steel lances diagonally arranged hit the center of the text, symbolically destroying it.

First thing that popped into my head... which probably means lots of other agents have done it too :) I'm happy with it though - reminds me of Videodrome.

This photo has a lot of meaning for my new year resolutions - focus on me (to lose weight), focus on the camera (to learn and become better), and my home (to improve it).

It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

Thanks to Kristy for taking most of the photos in the cold ..

My wife and I proudly show our support for Senator Obama with "his" and "her" bumper stickers. Barack Obama is our choice for 2008, and we want everybody to know it!

From the exhibition label: In this large drawing, Raphael experimented with the infant's elegant contrapposto pose and the foreshortening of the legs, arms, hands, pillow, and book. The relatively finished composition also bears traces of framing outlines drawn in black chalk, evidence that it may have been a demonstration piece used to show off the young artist's understanding of anatomical perspective.

This clock is in the central business district of May Pen, Clarendon. Erected in the 1800s reminds us of the British Colonial government that once governed our country, before independence in 1962. Although not providing accurate time, its beauty stands tall among business places, taxi terminal and accommodates a landmark for bystanders to converse.

Last time I did this course using my mobile phone. Its quick and easy to both take and upload pics, and there is of course the option to modify your efforts with an app beforehand. This time I have decided that, as part of exploring 'openness', I shall challenge myself to using my dslr...and sticking to my 50mm lens (with the help of extension tubes for close-ups!), having just done the 50mm project. My aim is to be more contemplative in how I photograph, rather than just in what. Fingers crossed this will be my one and only phone camera submission to the group...
