1/52 - Resolution
Made Lasagne tonight for The Whetstone's tonight. It is one of my resolutions to make a new recipe each week. I made this lasagne without any ricotta because my dear friend Kirstin has a strong aversion to any foods that are white and creamy =) I don't even think ricotta has a taste!

Resolutions to remember the United States Marines and United States Navy Sailor killed in the Chattanooga shootings were read in the Tennessee Senate Chambers on Monday, February 29, 2016. State Senator Bo Watson and Representative Gerald McCormick sponsored the resolutions to remember Gunnery Sergeant Thomas J. Sullivan, Staff Sergeant David Allen Wyatt, Sergeant Carson Holmquist, Lance Corporal Squire Wells and Petty Officer 2nd Class Randall Smith. Sailors, Marine Veterans and Tennessee Department of Veterans Services Commissioner Many-Bears Grinder were in attendance to support the reading.

The Resolution Run race kit includes these cosy vests, valued (priced normally) at $79.55. Also included are one-size-fits-all running hat.
Every year, the race registration fee is *lower* than the value of the race "swag."
The volunteers at the kit pick-up provide speedy and friendly service to the almost 2,000 runners who've registered for either the 5k or 10k races.

Uzbek kebab vendor, Semei. Uzbeks work in large numbers in Kazakhstan, attracted by the higher wages and less dictatorial regime. They tend to work in construction or selling their delicious kebabs by the roadside.
It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

2011 was a pretty tough year for me for many reasons. Battling addiction, depression, but also meeting some of the best people in my life was all a big adventure that I greatly achieved. I'm glad to have enjoyed the year as much as I did, but for this year, I plan to be a lot happier and to make a lot of other people happy as well. Hopefully all will turn out great. Happy 2012 everyone, make the most out of it because we might not be around in 2013 ;)
I'm not to big on making resolutions but had this for an idea. I'll try and keep up with #11.
Easy day today. No work for the second day in a row (I'm off for 5 days)
Sorta bummed out, this was the first New Years my wife and I celebrated without Becca (in Texas with her boyfriend at Lackland Airforce Base)
UGGGH! It ain't easy letting go.
My wife thought a movie would be good to cheer us up. Not!- we saw Marley and Me. And call me a sappy sentimental fool but I cried. I tried playing it cool but Marley reminded me of my first dog Corki... I'll leave it at that. It wasn't a nice site seeing a 42 year old with tears in his eyes (lol)
Nice way to cheer us up huh?
Then we got the phone call....UGGGGH

One of my resolutions for the New Year is to be more organized. This is my drawer at work.. As you see there is almost everything but pens, pencils and highlighters that I need for work..
I think those are under all this stuff.. Notice the cell phone charger for the car in the drawer? Hmmm think that should be in the car???

Okay, resolutions, let's get to them.
1.) Get healthier. This involved cutting back on the junk food that I eat and choosing to eat more fruits and vegetables, protein, etc. I think that in order to do this I'm going to have to start keeping a log of everything that I eat. Getting healthier also involves exercising. I'm going to have to force myself to go to the gym whenever I'm waiting around at MUN. I also bought Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I sincerely hope that I'm going to find the willpower to stick with this. In my opinion, I think that this first resolution is probably my most important one. I feel like if I can stick to this for at least a month, then it'll just become a part of daily life for me.
2.) Get my grades up. All I've ever wanted to do was spend a semester studying at Harlow. But in order to do that my grades need to come up. I currently have 69.2 overall average, and I really want to get that up to a 70 this semester. In order to do that, I'm going to need to stop procrastinating and start my work ahead of time, plan out a battle attack for all my projects and actually spend time studying for tests. I need to be on the ball with things. Harlow is the goal, and my grades are going to get me there.
3.) Complete this 366 Days photo journal. This will be my third time trying to do one of these. The first time I lost interest, the second I was doing really well until I broke my only camera. Now I've got this really nice Fujifilm camera for Christmas so the pictures I take are actually amazing. I'm really excited to start experimenting with different shots later. In actuality, I'd love to take some sort of photography lessons or classes. Maybe that could be a thing I could do over the summer? I should really look into that.
4.) Stop biting my nails. I'm not really sure how to go about this one. I find myself biting my nails all the time without really meaning to. I think that I'll have to invest in acrylic nails? That was the only thing that stopped me from biting my nails for about two weeks.
Today was my last day on Fogo Island for another while. I was really happy to spend the evening with people I care about and am really going to miss.
