I'm not to big on making resolutions but had this for an idea. I'll try and keep up with #11.
Easy day today. No work for the second day in a row (I'm off for 5 days)
Sorta bummed out, this was the first New Years my wife and I celebrated without Becca (in Texas with her boyfriend at Lackland Airforce Base)
UGGGH! It ain't easy letting go.
My wife thought a movie would be good to cheer us up. Not!- we saw Marley and Me. And call me a sappy sentimental fool but I cried. I tried playing it cool but Marley reminded me of my first dog Corki... I'll leave it at that. It wasn't a nice site seeing a 42 year old with tears in his eyes (lol)
Nice way to cheer us up huh?
Then we got the phone call....UGGGGH
It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

Found behind the derelict burnt out historical courthouse in the capital of St Thomas are three cannons used presumable to protect Jamaica from pirates. This old fort is one of the many that is situated in St Thomas and helps to depict what is a part of our rich but infamous heritage. TW-PBHS-0124

I had to attend a course today called 'Conflict Resolution'. It is freezing in the training room and then the rain started. This is a snap out of the window. I'm not sure why anyone who works with the public would need 'conflict resolution' training, it is essentially a formalisation of everything you do on a daily basis anyway. Still I got to sit in a cold classroom and meet some new people!
How sharp is film? This image is from a 4x5 negative scanned at 1200 dpi on an Epson Perfection 2450 scanner. The 2450 is by no means a high end scanner. The insert is from the image viewed at full resolution. I regularly shoot with a Canon 5dmk2 and it doesn't even come close to this kind of resolution. Just thought I'd throw this out there. Resolution rule
The resolution rule in propositional logic is a single valid inference rule that produces a new clause implied by two clauses containing complementary literals. A literal is a propositional variable or the negation of a propositional variable. Two literals are said to be complements if one is the negation of the other. The resulting clause contains all the literals that do not have complements.
The clause produced by the resolution rule is called the resolvent of the two input clauses.
When the two clauses contain more than one pair of complementary literals, the resolution rule can be applied (independently) for each such pair. However, only the pair of literals that are resolved upon can be removed: all other pair of literals remain in the resolvent clause.
The resolution rule is similar in spirit to the cut rule of sequent calculus.

today was laundry day (those are folded clothes behind me that need to be put away). While my kids were out with their friends I caught up on the shows I missed from the last 2 days (Psych, SNL, etc.) while folding laundry - tied for 1st place in my list of least favorite chores.
Last night the mountain top got a dusting of snow... that means there will be snow on the ground here in no time, probably before Halloween. I am so not looking forward to winter, but it'll be my last one here so that's a little bit comforting.
