I am often asked "What do you see? What are you taking a picture of?" When I respond with "a leaf" or "barbed wire" they usually respond with a disappointing "Oh". Although I appreciate criticism/suggestions to improve my photo skills, I will not let fear of what someone else may think to interfere with my desire to create and post images I like :-)

Mind mapping has always worked better for me than uni-dimensional lists or outlines.

It turned out to be great weather for today's Resolution 10k up at the racecourse after it got cancelled 2 weeks ago, nice to see so many familiar faces and well done to everyone taking part , did I mention I got a PB ..

Civil Air Patrol members from across Virginia, led by Col. Jim Covel, Virginia Wing Commander, visited the Virginia Capitol Building in Richmond, on Monday, March 7, 2016, to witness a proclamation recognizing Civil Air Patrol’s 75 years of volunteer service to our nation. The proclamation, House Resolution No. 94, was sponsored by Delegate Daun Hester of the 89th district, Norfolk, Virginia. Delegate Hester yielded the house floor to Delegate Rich Anderson, former Civil Air Patrol National Commander, 1993-1996, for comments on the history, heroism, and volunteer service of Civil Air Patrol members. Delegate Hester met with Virginia Wing members outside of house chambers after the reading of the proclamation. They also had the unexpected pleasure of meeting Governor Terry McAuliffe. Governor McAuliffe congratulated each member present and thanked them for their service. A brief tour of the Capitol Building and lunch in the General Assembly building concluded the event.

Fjordprins has today February 22, 2011 been loaded on the Beluga Resolution to be shipped to Singapore.

This year I hope to be committed to my photography. This includes learning how to use my camera in manual mode and being confident enough in my abilities so I don't fall back into the auto zone!
