This top was upcycled from a raw silk mens Hawaiian short sleeve shirt. The collar was left on and the sleeve opening is at an angle. the waist is elastic. The hem on the sleeves was used to create ruffles that are stitched onto the front. The rest of the sleeves were used to make two front hip pockets.

The current (as of 04/2008) central Cambridge Public Library in Cambridge MA is housed inside of an old high school. It looks like a high school from the outside, but once inside it takes a few moments to sink in. The gym/auditorium houses most of their collection

I'm not sure if this would be the easiest place to lock up your bike, but it's certainly a good reminder that you could be spending your money more wisely than by paying for parking.
You like bikes? Perhaps you'd like to read The Prudent Cyclist.
Each book measures 4.5" high x 2.75" wide and contains 30 pages of repurposed papers. The pages are sewn onto the cover with a sewing machine and reinforced with mod podge.
The papers come from old notebooks, construction paper, architecture blueprints, sudoku game books, dictionaries, and many other fun sources.
Designed to recycle old materials while inspiring creativity, these books can be used as a scrapbook, notebook, journal, and more.
Made from a jacket I found at a thrift shop. I used fusible interfacing on the body of the purse, reused the patch pockets from the jacket as interior pockets.
28 April 2015 LinkedIn assembled it's leading Group Managers/Moderators & invited them to come by "The Mothership"- for a full day of debriefing on our collective thought(s) on "HOW" we craft an interactive and useful Group ?

I repurposed one of my fish aquariums and stand.
I had saltwater fish in this 20 gal tank and when we moved it caused this one to leak about 3 inches from the top. I was horrified the next morning after getting it set up, I awoke to a huge puddle all over the kitchen floor. I also have 2 29 gal tanks so I combined the freshwater ones and made a new saltwater tank.
So then I was like what to do,,,what to do with this leaking setup. I thought about setting it to the road. Then I got the idea to use it for flowers. My daughter sanded and painted it and I planted some flowers in it.
We are happy with the way it turned out.
An old propane tank repurposed into a hanging bbq for a balcony. Copper trim was brazed on to create a friction fit seal for cooking. As the bare steel of the body rusts the copper and brass will slowly go green.
The client wanted lots of drawers which would be very time consuming to make. Serendipitously I got an e-mail from a freecycle buddy giving away this old desk. So I removed the desktop, cut down the carcass and was able to use all the drawers in my under-the-desk storage unit.
