I was intrigued by how the pattern and colours on this Red Tailed Bumblebee's abdomen were reflected in the Helenium it is standing on.

Active Assignment Weekly: March 31 - April 7 Repeating Patterns

Alright, it has been a long time since I have done this, let's see if I remember. This week, go out and find a repeating pattern, whether it be in nature or man made (I just don't want you setting up a pattern for the purpose of this shot). The more geometric the better! Wow everyone with your beautiful photo!

Dare: Only include the pattern in your shot

Restriction: Don't do a set up shot. Go out and find it!

and if i were to ask

what would you say?

would you lie to me

tell me things are okay?

would you look away.

would you turn your head

averting your eyes from mine.

am i a bad person?

the words falling

falling like snow on a dirty highway.

covering the mud

obscuring the muck.

and it's not you

not you who looks away.

it's me.

turning away from what you might say.

turning away

as i feel

feel my body shake

as i feel

tears well in my eyes.

i can't speak anymore

i bite my lip

in some wasted effort

to not cry.

i'll never know what you said.

all i could hear

repeating over and over again

were the voices in my head

screaming replies

a chaotic chorus of noise

shouting

screaming

yelling

demanding to be heard

over all else

driving words into my mind

the harsh reassurance

the bitter bile spewing forth

i attack myself

i confirm my own hate

so

so i don't ask.

not anymore

not again.

i just wonder

what would you say?

"I think this would be a great picture, if the sky were blue, and not the gray smog."

So many hearts...so little time ;-)

Dory and I had some fun with hearts as I unpacked my February props!
