In relation to photography, the photography refers to the position the camera is in when viewing a scene. The Derek Rankins Photography for over 15 years from maintaining the last existing Kodachrome processor in Kansas, to traveling with a National Geographic photographer, to teaching photography, and now digitization. Photographed and written by the distant relation of the Queen, Ashley Hicks, this is the penultimate photo collection of the famed palace's interiors.
Pictured here is Edward VII's throne from his 1902 coronation, now located in the Ballroom. The embroidery behind is from one of the largest shows of imperial power, the 1911 Delhi Durbar. It was taken from the Imperial Shamiana, the marquee-like canopy that had stood over the King-Emperor and Queen-Empress.

Mit der Bundestagswahl rücken erneut einige digitalpolitische Fragen in den Fokus: Reicht es dieses Mal für ein richtiges Digitalministerium? Welche Aufgaben und Zuständigkeiten soll ein solches Ministerium bekommen? Wie wird die Finanzierung seiner Projekte sichergestellt? Diese und weitere Fragen wurden am 13. Februar 2025 bei der Veranstaltung BASECAMP Nachgefragt! diskutiert.
Ein Digitalministerium könnte die Digitalisierung in allen politischen und gesellschaftlichen Bereichen vorantreiben. Als Schnittstelle zwischen Regierung, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft könnte es die digitalpolitischen Zuständigkeiten bündeln und die Digitalpolitik effektiv vorantreiben.
Zugleich melden sich kritische Stimmen, die in einem neuen Ministerium eine Zunahme von Bürokratie und Ineffizienz fürchten.
