Thrilled with this shot. Spent the morning panning with vehicles and cyclists, with the predictable 90% reject rate. Still, the remaining 10% can be quite stunning.
I wasn't quick enough to get my camera set up to catch the action before this moment but I am still happy with the shot.
what do you do when your whole house stinks of skunk after your dog got sprayed from head to paw at six in the morning by a least three skunks, and you have bathed her three times and the poor love still smells, and now you smell too, and your hub and eldest daughter take off to Tahoe (aka they evacuate, or leave a sinking (stinking) ship) leaving me and the little one with the stench..............why you jump on the sofa of course!!!
Skunks STINK!!!! Worse than BAD!!!
365 reject!
I have a folder full of reject shots that never made it to the featured shot on the day in 2015, and never got the TLC needed to put them onto Flickr. I'll work my way through them, and upload a few that are worth keeping.
This group are the remaining shots from 2015 taken in London.
Tibetans have been kept away from their own identity for 50 years. How hard is it to live in your own land and be denied the feeling of roots? Most people don´t realise how lucky we are and how much we are failing as humans.
Dublin Bus (Donnybrook) Leyland Olympian / Alexander RH RH 86 (91-D-1086) on Hawkins Street, Dublin 11th November 1997, carrying a trial livery that was later rejected. AD 24 also carried this livery.
More than 3100 people turned out for the No Kings 2.0 Rally in Vero Beach, Florida on October 18th, 2025. One of over 2,700 demonstrations that were held, with at least one protest in every state, and several taking place in other countries in support. This widespread participation highlighted the collective sentiment against fascism and the Trump Administration. Resist!
I know, it's another weed. Just humor me please. My attachment for the rejected is growing and each day a new beauty captures my heart.
Life has so many contrasting aspects and weeds remind me that beauty can be seen in sadness as well as joy. I thought about you when I took this image and I'm hoping you found that peace you were searching for.
for Angela...
images i initially rejected during my first pass edit.

This was originally going to be a sort of collaborations of many (or most) of Batman's chemically-oriented or influenced foes. The plan was to have Two-Face either pulling a heist or throwing a subdued Catwoman over the walkway into chemicals. Below, on the floor, I was going to have Batman and Bane fighting in a pile of rubble and smashed chemical containers. On the other side (a glimpse of it is visible), there would be a secret laboratory where Scarecrow was experimenting on some kidnapped Ace Chemicals workers or security guards. There was an idea to hide some Joker or Mr. Freeze references in somewhere, but eventually I realized this build wasn't coming out the way I hoped it would, and I later became bored with the idea. Still, it seemed worth posting, since I am happy with a couple parts of it (mainly the smashed window and the vat of chemicals).
