On the 6th July 2018, I visited this large Fort on the hillside overlooking Portsmouth Harbour. It was a hot sunny day during the heat wave that we were having. The entrance to this marvellous Fort is free however be prepared to pay £3 parking fee then take the ticket to the shop area to convert it to a ticket for entry. The views from here are wonderful only being spoiled by the pylons and electrical wires stretching across the skyline. The staff were very helpful and the coffee shop a great place to enjoy snacks and a drink. The displays were well laid out, well most of the work was still being carried out here. But then there is enough to satisfy most people on a free entry. The damp, cool underground walkways were a bit daunting but unusual to walk along. The displays are perhaps still waiting for better placement yet only the entrance part did they have a purpose-built display area. As long as you remember it takes time and money to get these places back to original and for me, it was a very enjoyable day out. The huge 18-inch Howitzer was massive, how they ever built this in 1918 is a miracle.
Near to this is the Nelson Monument this monument, 120 feet tall on a granite base, stands on Portsdown Hill about 2 miles ( 3.2 km ) north of Portsmouth Harbour on the south coast of England. It was the eventual outcome of a movement started during Horatio Nelson's lifetime to perpetuate the glorious victories of the British Navy. By 1799 Nelson's prize agent Alexander Davison was able to use the Nelson name to spearhead a campaign, to honour Britain’s naval glory and pre-eminence.
Fort Nelson, in the civil parish of Boarhunt in the English county of Hampshire, is one of five defensive forts built on the summit of Portsdown Hill in the 1860’s, overlooking the important naval base of Portsmouth. It is now part of the Royal Armouries, housing their collection of artillery, and a Grade I Listed Building. Fort Nelson is one of five Portsdown Forts. Built as a result of the 1859 Royal Commission by Lord Palmerston to prevent a French land attack, on the Portsmouth dockyard only 8 kilometres away, because the older Hilsea Lines at the bottom of the ridge were considered insufficient. A series of 6 forts were built along the 7 miles ( 10 km ) of the ridge. From west to east they are forts Fareham, Wallington, Nelson, Southwick, Widley and Purbrook. The line was finished off at the eastern end with Crookhorn Redoubt and Farlington Redoubt. A garrison of around 200 volunteers accompanied by regular army officers would have manned the fort in time of war. Construction was protracted and Fort Nelson wasn't fully armed until the 1890’s. The fort was disarmed in 1907 and then used for accommodation. In 1938, it was converted to an area anti-aircraft ammunition store; ten large magazines were built on the parade ground. Fort Nelson was abandoned in the 1950’s.

The musical selection is close to unpredictable... there has been reggae, tradition throat singer from Mongolia, popish girl band and Finnish rock legend on the stage the same day.
This the family festival per say. Numerous activities are to be practice for free via workshop. You can do Capoeira at 10am, learn to mixes herbs at 12am, do some juggling at 2pm and get a massage at 6pm for a little fee.
People seems to enjoy themselves and chill out for the weekend as i have never seen in any other festival i visited.

Antes estuvo, como capitán, al frente de la 3ª Compañía del I Tábor de Tiradores de Ifni en ese territorio africano. Fue hecho prisionero durante la batalla de Krasny Bor y pasó casi once años en el "gulag" figurando entre quienes, repatriados, llegaron a Barcelona en el "Semíramis". Poseedor de la Medalla Militar Individual, de la que se hizo merecedor por su heroísmo, obtuvo el grado de General de Infantería falleciendo en 2006.
The Dharmarajika School is one of the most tolerant, multicultural, and humanitarian schools I've ever seen. 400 underprivileged students don't have to pay tuition - and get free meals, room, and board. This school is open to Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, and the non-religious.
This photo is of a day student I believe as I hadn't seen him in the orphange/hostel in my previous trips. That means his family pays a small fee for him to be able to attend this school.

Ethiopian People Patriotic Front Guard (EPPFG) is established with the purposes of bringing the TPLF/EPRDF power to end through all means of struggle, to eliminate tyranny, to bring justice, democracy and equality of the Ethiopian people. To accomplish the mission of the organization effectively, we create awareness for all Ethiopians who are voluntary to accompany us and we organize our members for a common goal. The organization reaches to its members in many ways, one of it is making a meeting regularly through the year.
Accordingly, Members of Ethiopian People Patriotic Front Guard (EPPFG-group) in Bayern has carried out their regular meeting successfully for the second time on August, 09, 2014. During this time, the meeting was opened officially by Mr. Leul Keskis who is the Chairman of the EPPFG in Germany. The meeting was led by Mera Abraha who is the Chairman of the members of Bayern region and by the General secretary in Germany called Mr. Tilahun Gudeta. After agenda of the meeting was explained, the stage was opened to the audiences for discussion. The meeting focused mainly on the following agendas.
1) Current problems in Ethiopia
2) Experience sharing between participants
After the agendas were explained by representative of the group, the audience discussed properly on issues about how we could be strong in our movement for liberation of Ethiopia. Participants became aware of the current problems and situation of Ethiopia due to lack of justice, freedom and democracy in Ethiopia. All members held a stand to be attached hand in hand until the end for establishment of united and democratic Ethiopia. Finally, the meeting was closed by Mr. Leul Keskis after making closing speech for the audiences.

In this situation, anyway. There were 33 of these holding together with the vagrant Black-tailed Godwit pretending to be one of them. I'm posting this here for comparison purposes to the adjacent photos of the Black-tailed Godwit. Though they look superficially similar, once you can study the details, their coloration and markings are very different.
I'm not sure if that's a really long tongue he's got in there or something yummy... The wind is ruffling the rear feathers; they're not normally so fluffed.
