this is me on a regular day, hair pulled back, uncombed, t.shirt, jeans/shorts and taking pictures of something. I'm OOF, but as I age, this is is pretty much my view because I hate wearing my glasses.

Normally, I love hate self portraits. They are hard, the are self revealing, yet you can learn so much from them. It's hard to continuously fake a smile, to give an expression that's oh so right without it looking wrong, to sit up without looking stiff, etc etc. I don't plan on doing a ton of SP's but every now and then they are a good reminder of how hard it it to be in front of the camera.

Photos from the 2012 Indianapolis Colts training camp, held at Anderson University August 15, 2012. Gone were the regulars at the training camp, with new players and free agents taking their place. Reggie Wayne and Adam Vinatieri returned to compliment newcomers like Stanford rookie quarterback Andrew Luck and of course the new head coach Chuck Pagano and temporary head coach Bruce Arians. The season ended up relatively successful, with the Colts going 11-5, good enough for second place in the AFC South.

What The Regular Show would look like if it were live action.

Buildings on or near Horse Fair in Banbury.

Quaker Meeting House, to the left of the Church House.

On a passageway called The Leys (at least I think it is called that, but something is obscuring the middle of the road sign).

This way to the People's Park.

Subtle interior colours on today's (the same as yesterday's) Skylink service from Leicester to Loughborough (then onwards to East Midlands Airport - hence the 'Skylink' name).

The exterior of this bus is metallic brown, not in the corporate colours... so this must be a stand in rented bus.

Today I'm sitting in the same place, as is the other regular passenger. Today he has is hood down.

I'm a bus rider this week as I'm feeling run down. When I get run down this can result in the symptoms of Shingles - which I first got 16 years ago.

This was my second trip to Whitney. Me and Nick took a regular route to the top. We summit it twice actually within 24 hours hoping to cross over to Russel but packs were too heavy for mountaineer’s route descent. no bueno

regular and purple potatoes, and fingerling sweet potatoes

The photographs in my set, "Weed Flower Micros," may appear to be close-ups of regular-sized flowers – they are not!

These are micro (macro) photos of tiny little flowers which bloom on ordinary weeds found in my lawn.

How tiny? The largest weed flower in the set is only, when measured across its widest part from petal tip to petal tip, 3/4" in diameter (19mm)!

Some of these miniscule flowers are so small that the entire blossom you are looking at is 1/4" in diameter (6mm)…or smaller! Again, that’s measuring from petal tip to petal tip across the widest part of the bloom!

The smallest part of a weed flower that I have managed to successfully shoot and achieve good detail in is a photo I made of a bud that measured LESS than 1/32" in diameter (0.7mm) across its widest part!

For size references I have included a photo of certain flowers and buds next to the head of an ordinary paper match, which dwarfs the blooms and buds.

It’s delightful to discover the beauty, complexity, and variety in something so small that it’s easily ignored, taken for granted, dismissed as a pest, or just downright difficult to see with the naked eye.

And it’s an even greater delight to realize that this incredible beauty has been growing wild in my lawn, year after year, right under my un-seeing eyes as I’ve repeatedly mown them down with my lawn mower, never realizing the unseen beauty that I was trampling under my feet.

I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I do. I have a lot of fun making them for us to look at!

On Sunday, September 27th, 2015, more than two-hundred friends of the Canons Regular of Saint John Cantius gathered with priests and brothers of the order for an elegant meal, lively entertainment, and one another's company all with the cause of supporting the mission of "Restoring the Sacred". The event was held at the beautiful English-gothic style Cathedral room at the University Club of Chicago overlooking Chicago’s lakefront. This year's event marked the record for highest attendance at he Annual Benefit Dinner.

Live piano music was provided during the cocktail hour by the Director of the Gregory The Great Schola Cantorum, Mr. Joseph Urbaszewski, who delighted his listeners with popular piano music. During the dinner additional music was provided the Anthony Kowalkowski Orchestra.

Father Regis N. Barwig, O.S.B., led the prayer of blessing at the beginning of the dinner. Father C. Frank Phillips, C.R. spoke about the exciting new endeavors and developments for the community. Father Dennis Kolinski, SJC, liturgy professor at Holy Apostles College and Seminary in Connecticut, as well as caretaker of the 2 Canons who are currently in seminary was able to attend the dinner, as well as the 3 priests stationed at the Canons' new parish in Springfield, IL- Fr. Jim Isaacson, Fr. Scott Thelander and Fr. Kevin Mann. Also in attendance were the order's three seminarians who are studying at Mundelein Seminary, together with the vice-rector, Fr. James Presta.

Granted I've not been in the park as much this year but I had missed seeing this couple so was relieved to see that they are still around and feeding the animals.
