Cross Processed (XPRO) Fuji Sensia 100 ISO Color Slide 35mm Film. Shot with the Nikon N8008s, scanned using the Epson V600. I processed this film using C-41 at Costco. Some places refuse to cross process, just find someone who will. It'll be fine...
This is from my first roll of cross processed film. I've never done this before, and I'm really pleased with some of the results. Now that I know a little more about what's going on, I may shoot a little more when I find cheap slide film to play with.
Also, I shot this roll as if it was 200 ISO film, over exposing it slightly.

International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia (ICTY) has confirmed that there are four mass graves containing the bodies of approximately 320 Srebrenica victims, in Sultanovici / Liplije (Zvornik Municipality). Part of the grave-sites have been used by the Zvornik authorities as a municipal rubbish dump, despite repeated complaints by returnees about the use of this land for this purpose.
Municipal authorities made a rubbish dump out of private land belonging to cleansed Bosniaks who were in the process of clearing their destroyed homes in preparation for permanent return. Municipal trucks reportedly dump between 30 and 35 loads of rubbish a day, all of which was slowly smouldering, causing irreparable damage to the bodies underneath, thereby destroying evidence for use in future war crimes trials related to the Srebrenica massacre.

This is a photograph from the Ringtown GAA Club Half Marathon and 10KM Road Races, fun runs, and walks which were held in Whitehall, Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Easter Monday (April 21st 2014) at 11:15 and 11:30 respectively. Ringtown GAA club is situated in Whitehall which is on the R394 between Mullingar and Castlepollard. The GAA club is shown here on Google Streetview [goo.gl/maps/UI9tD]. The half marathon started outside the GAA club. The 10KM race started about 1KM away from the start/finish area. Both races shared the same route. The race event was also a fundraiser for the charity TEAM (Temporary Emergency Accomodation Mullingar) which provides emergency accomodation for women and children of the midlands who are subject of domestic and sexual violence. They are located at Teach Fáilte, Green Road, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.

The half marathon started at the GAA club. The main loop of 6 miles started here and proceeded around some beautiful rural back roads with major turns at [goo.gl/maps/8Iw9S], [goo.gl/maps/in6yE], and goo.gl/maps/JJzwM before joining up with the R394 and Castlepollard and returning back to Ringtown/Whitehall.
This was the GAA club's first attempt at staging a running event and the overwhelming reaction of participants was that it went perfectly. There was a team of Motorcycle outriders and Gardai who expertly controlled traffic flow (particularly along the very busy R394) and made for very safe running conditions for all participants. There was a wonderful selection of refreshments provided afterwards and maybe people were able to sit out in the sun and enjoy a well earned rest after the race. Shower facilities were provided in the GAA club.

►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone

NO DUMPING of REFUSE HERE

Apparently a sign prohibiting dumping refuse actually grants permission to do so.
This is a photograph from the 1st round of the 2015 Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 6th May 2015 at 20:00. This year the 5KM was ran on a modified route based on the route from the last couple of years. Tonight the final 1KM stayed within the Belvedere Gardens bringing runners down to the lakeside for a second time and finishing along the aptly named Stream Of Life. The route modification meant that the race offered a slightly faster route than the hill finish of previous years.
The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 350 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was perfect for running with sunshine with just a little breeze. The new finish area provided a nice space for runners to stay around and chat in the evening sunshine. The Mullingar Road League 2015 has started off successfully and looks to add to the success in the history of this great series.
The "Road League" is something of a misnomer but is an indication of the League's origins on the roads around Ladestown Mullingar prior to it's move into Belvedere in 2008. The Road League is the envy of many other races in the country as the Belvedere locations offers a completely traffic free 5KM route.

Even in Saudi we contemplated taking on architectural design work but eventually discovered that the only reason we were being approached was to get free services. Many professionals starting out take work speculating with potential clients, developers, and owners. Others offered to give me an office and help me with all the government red tape. I would get the clients, carry out the work and surrender 55% of the profits to my Saudi partner. Such offers were easy to refuse.
But, even when they’re positive economic times in USA we never thought of returning to start-up a practice. We just did not want to do what it takes to start a practice.
Instead we dedicated our selves to optimizing our use of time and efforts to get the most out of life. However, I never was exactly sure what that was or how to get “it”; or, what I could do at my very best to get the outcome required.
By the way, lest you wonder, no one ever made me an offer I could not refuse (that I turned down). I had some very wonderful opportunities dumped into my lap, which I could not receive because I did not have the income to pay for life’s expenses while the business was developing. A good case in point was the two men in Texas who offered me a full partnership in their “Jiffy Lube” business. Mutual friends who were the CEO’s of Pennzoil and Houston Gas (Robert Herring) suggested they contact me. I would have to run the site selection, design and construction part of the business for several years with -out an income until the franchises payments started to exceed expense s, and, we could be profitable and draw income, salaries and split profits, etc.
It was my belief that if only I would get my license to practice architecture all my problems would be solved. From 1964 till 1971, when I was licensed, this was our biggest and most personally hopeful project. I believed that being licensed would result in revenues and income because I could either is employed or win contracts to perform architectural services. It was a longing for financial security and social status and not necessarily a longing to serve and do the actual work. I definitely enjoyed the work and do enjoy designing and everything associated with the profession, but it was not the “big hope”.
And, finally, I must agree with teacher of ecclesiastics when he says in chapter five:” 18 Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him-for this is his lot. 19 Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work-this is a gift of God. 20 He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart.
When I compare my life with dear saints such as Mother Theresa I can only be slighted as my efforts have been so much less than hers.
Yet God has given me to care for His flock and my dear wife, Christina. I have had to toil to earn what was needed to pay for Christina’s support. I have asked for and received God’s supernatural strength; but no more than the many we have seen do the same with even less than God blessed us.
I am not my job title/profession/career
There is a difference between the above three nouns (job, career and profession) but spiritually God does want us to be in the words and deeds. Where our identity defines itself and builds on titles and contexts distracts form our maturity. I can escape my responsibility in so many other roles and aspects of my life if my identity depends on one or anther role I play.
In my own life I have changed all three of the above functions and progressed with my life separately from these functions.
Victor Neuhouse of the Former Neuhouse and Taylor Company in Houston was able to sell his company, which changed its name to 3D International and become the new entity employee. Wally Scott of Caudell, Rowlett and Scott did the same. Wally was the person who introduced me to George Bush Senior.
Some of the astronauts, movie stars and long term fortune five hundred employees complained of have no life after there work and tenure with some job ended.
I have seen so many offices, companies and institutions change, close and reorganize that to think other wise is perverse and dangerously compulsive.
What has been wonderful is the way God has closed one door and opened another to grow me in faith and trust in His sovereignty.
It is God’s, not my will, and, He always has something better in mind for me than I am capable of thinking and imagining.
While I must confess to being uneasy by the talk of change and lunging into the unknown, I am equally confident that God will provide a better and right thing.
With few exceptions, He, not me has caused the changes, and, what I have learned to do is to face Him and pray that He shows me the way. I am His child and made in His image. I’m not any worldly thing or skill. I have been able to learn and do many things in many places. I would have like to have been one or another of any of the jobs, professions and careers God created but it was not His will. Left to me and my will I could repeat grow and develop in any one thing for a lifetime and be that thing I am doing. Thank God for His better plan.
A Philippina working for Lee county, whose daughter was born on the same date as me reminded me that I was my mothers creation of a tax benefit to my father; I was now the third deception in there tax claim. What an accomplishment.
I have learned that “making a difference” can take many forms:

2.Stardom
3.Professional
4.Artist
5.Craftsman
6.Worker
7.Family member, etc.
We all have an urge toward ”sanctification”; to be set apart in the word which is perverted to “worldly accomplishment”

this is old, from when i wasn't scared to let button out free in the grass. he runs way too fast for me to let him do that again.
i did buy him a leash/harness yesterday. i saw a girl on campus a few weeks ago with her huge lop-eared bunny on a leash and he was sitting so patiently and i was jealous, so finally i bought button one. he does NOT like it. it took me about 20 minutes to get him into the harness to begin with and then about 30 seconds for him to struggle out of it.
i feel like at this rate i should not take him outside unless he promises to behave. the only thing he promises, however, is to make a mess and flip his food dish over and cause trouble and refuse to listen.
also as emily has reminded me that i forgot to mention: he ate straight through my strand of christmas lights that were laying on the ground from the last time i took pictures. SIGH. now i have to wait until christmas...or at least halloween (that's when they put the christmas stuff out, right?) to buy some more.

The National Mosque of Malaysia (Malay: Masjid Negara Malaysia, مسجد نݢارا مليسيا) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It has a capacity for 15,000 people and is situated among 53,000 m2 of gardens. The original structure was designed by a three-person team from the Public Works Department: UK architect Howard Ashley, and Malaysians Hisham Albakri and Baharuddin Kassim. The engineer in charge of the construction of the mosque, which commenced in 1963 was Antony Morris. It was built on the site of a church, the Venning Road Brethren Gospel Hall, which had stood there since 1922 but was appropriated by the Malaysian government. The mosque is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly independent Malaysia.
Its key features are a 73-metre-high minaret and a 16-pointed star concrete main roof. The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret's cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof are a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound.
HISTORY
Malaya gained its independence from the British government on 31 August 1957. Major development programs in areas of economy, social and architecture were actively implemented in line with the new government. The programs were also to portray new progressive culture and achieved democracy. Therefore, on 30 July 1957, in the meeting of the Federal Executive Council an idea to build a national mosque as a symbol of the country’s independence was mooted. In another meeting on 5 March 1958, Chief Ministers of the eleven states in the Federation of Malaya, a proposal was made to name the mosque Masjid Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, in recognition of Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman's efforts in guiding the country to gaining independence. However, Tunku refused this honour; on the contrary he named it Masjid Negara in thanksgiving for the country’s peaceful independence without bloodshed. On Friday, 27 August 1965, the mosque was declared open by the third Yang di-Pertuan Agong, the late Tuanku Syed Putra of Perlis.
The mosque underwent major renovations in 1987, and the once-pink concrete roof is now clad in green and blue tiles. Today, Masjid Negara continues to stand sleek and stylish against the Kuala Lumpur skyline. An underground passage leads to the National Mosque located near the railway station, along Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin. Its unique modern design embodies a contemporary expression of traditional Islamic art calligraphy and ornamentation. Near the mosque is the Makam Pahlawan (Heroes' Mausoleum), a burial ground of several Malaysian Muslim leaders. Makam Pahlawan is a 7-pointed star concrete roofed structure.
On 27 August 2015, Masjid Negara celebrated its Golden Jubilee (50th anniversary).

The mosque is accessible within walking distance north west of Kuala Lumpur railway station. You can also take the free GoKL bus (Red Line) from KL Sentral and get off at a stop called Masjid Negara.

This is a photograph from the finish of the Tullamore Harriers AC "Quinlan Cup" Half Marathon which was held on Saturday 26th August 2017 in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Ireland at 11:00. This is the fifth year of the event. The race is organised and promoted by Tullamore Harriers AC. The race starts on the Charleville Road just outside the entrance to Tullamore Harriers. The race proceeds south along the R421 and onto the N52 before taking a route onto local back roads. The race then completes a large rural road route before it joins to the R421 again and the final 1.5 miles are the same as the first mile of the race. The runners enter Tullamore stadium and complete one lap of the tartan track before the finish line. The course is challenging in places with some undulations along the route. But overall it is fair course. 2013 seen the first year of the event as the club commemorated the 60th Anniversary of the formation of Tullamore Harriers AC which today is one of Ireland's best known athletics clubs.

The race was perfectly organised. The weather was good for racing but there was warm summer weather for the entire race which made for warmer than usual running conditions There were stewarts all along the route, 3 drink stations with bottled water, superb facilities, and great after-race refreshments. The stewards along the route provided great encouragement to all of the runners. Tullamore Harriers and the local community really worked together to make this is a wonderful event. There was also a relay option where teams of two can run approximately 10.5km each.
As mentioned above this race half marathon started in 2013 and celebrated the 60th Anniversary (a Diamond Anniversary) of the foundation of Tullamore Harriers AC. The club was formed in the town in November 1953. However, it was almost 1979 before facilities close to what we see today open in the present day site. Over 50 provincial and national athletics meetings are held at Tullamore Harriers every year. The facilities available combined with it's central geographical location joining routes from North, South, East, and West make it a very attractive venue. The half marathon today firmly brings competitive national road racing back to "The Harriers". The Quinlan Cup which will be awarded to the winning club team. For more than 40 years the Harriers Quinlan Cup was the most prestigious event on the road racing calendar. Having started as a cross-country race back in 1957, it became a road race in 1967 and remained so until 2000 when the race was last held. During its reign as a blue-ribband event the Quinlan Cup was won by the likes of John Treacy and Eamonn Coughlan.
Today, the facilities at Tullamore Harriers are the envy of many athletics clubs in Ireland. The facilities provided by Tullamore make it one of the premier venues for local and national level athletics in Ireland. There is an Olympic standard tartan track, a fully equipped gym, changing facilities, press and media facilities, meeting room spaces, etc. The club also provides a social center and niteclub which makes "The Harriers" a very well known on the local social scene. Esssentially, the town of Tullamore would be a different place if it weren't for the presence of Tullamore Harriers AC.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. This painting shows Mary Hennell, Sara’s eldest sister at the piano in their home in Hackney. Mary died in 1843 from tuberculosis.
From 1841 to 1849 Mary Ann Evans lived with her father in a grand semi-detached house just off the main road in Foleshill, then village near the city of Coventry. While in Coventry Mary Ann became friends with radical intellectuals known as the Rosehill Circle – headed by Cara and Charles Bray.
Mary Ann’s time in Coventry was one of change and personal development. It had a difficult start as she refused to attend church for five months which deeply upset her father – a period known later as the ‘Holy War’. Her growing friendship with the Brays led to Mary Ann being commissioned to translate from the German Strauss’ sensational volume ‘The Life of Jesus, Critically Examined’.
The end of her time in Coventry was overshadowed by her father’s illness and death. This led to the Bray’s taking Mary Ann on a continental tour which began her move from the Midlands to London and the launch of her literary career.
Objects held at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum are held in three collections: local studies at the Coventry Archives and Research Centre, visual arts and social history. Much of the collection relates to Mary Ann’s relationship with the Rosehill Circle and includes sketches, watercolours, letters and objects such as the piano bought for her by life partner, George Henry Lewes.
