Looking back over the last couple of years i have been so lucky to have seen and experienced some of the coolest things, this is one of the many things. A yellow eyed penguin makes it way onto the beach at Oamaru, New Zealand.

An early morning view of Ramona Falls on a warm June day. The spray and cool air from the Falls was a welcome reprieve after the uphill hike out to the Falls.
Wow it's a hot summer! Record breaking heat is roasting large swathes of the planet this year. Please take caution in the sweltering temperatures and monitor for heat exhaustion and heat stroke! In an attempt to help beat the heat I present a few dozen refreshing images for a hot summer in this new series I call Refreshingly Cool Images.

A Eurasian Collared Dove at the birdbath in our garden. There was lots of splashing going on when it came in for a drink.
Day 187 - Its suppose to be summer and its miserable outside so I will fake it with some flashes. Refreshing lemon.

( I had to think about that for a minute, but it makes me want to be more aware of what is going on with my friends and to be available for them "sooner" than "later"....both are a breath of fresh air I believe and welcomed at either point, but it seems clear which choice is best....just some food for thought : )
